It's cute that your argument is "well I know better". I'm not saying you have no credibility. I'm saying that shamanism in a religious context refers to the other-world travelling tradition of the Siberian peoples, and if you're not following said tradition, you're not a shaman. My opinion is not self-righteous (I suffer from no delusion that my own beliefs, actions or values are more virtuous than those of others generally, nor do I consider myself morally superior). I'm just bored and weary with saying the same thing over and over. You can ignore reality all you like. You don't "know better", and frankly I don't care what you know and what you don't. If I wanted to start this s**t up again I would have. We've had this argument, as I said, and if you'd rather misappropriate titles you have no right to, then you can go ahead and do that and I'll continue to ignore you. I really can't be bothered with you.

Well not to involve myself in an argument I'll just answer the question the post asked.
I claim being Pagan cause it's an easy answer. I don't blame anyone else for doing the same. I follow Dionysus specifically and belong to an eclectic coven of fellow pagans who follow many different Gods and follow very different traditions. We do work magic together and celebrate the holidays we share in common.

I really can't be bothered with you. Mmm. I was under the impression that a shaman was a specific position and there wasn't necessarily a religion. For instance, certain members of whatever culture would share the same religious/spiritual beliefs but the shaman was a specific kind of priest/spiritual leader within that religion. Shamanism would be their specific practices within that role. I could be wrong on that one though.

I could be wrong on that one though. no, you hit the nail on the head there, despite what some people think. o.o i suppose you could call it pretentious of me, since we have no official independance, but i actually am the leading member of a tribe. cops would call us a gang, though we rarely break the law. i am reffered to as "Chief" sometimes, though usually still by more familiar names such as "Twi" or even just "Zack". it's why i changed my name to Chieftain Twilight on Gaia. i was gonna make it Master Twilight, but figured i might as well get used to my title.
