The Port: On the West side of the Water Country Island, is a port. The boats that sit on these ports are for trade and travel.

The Destination: To the Wave Country, where the Great Naruto Bridge is. The Great Naruto Bridge connects the Wave Country to the Fire Country. Therefore, if you wish to go to the Fire Country, you must go through the Wave Country.

Given that there is no Wave country thread, please just post yourself going across the Naruto Bridge, towards the Fire Country in the same post that you exit this thread.

Upon arrival one will see the small post on the right side of the path. On the post there is writing saying "Kirigakure no Sato". The entrance to the village seems so unprotected, but if one has made it this far, they have passed our strongest gaurds. The Ocean, the snow, and have yet to meet the Mist.

For a foreigner to travel to the Mist Vilage, is a task. The Mist can cause one to go off the path and lose themselves.

Creaakity. Creakkkkkk~.

The boardwalk made unpleasant sounds as Karin skipped on them. "I thought we had fixed these a couple months ago..." She murmured to herself as older fishermen were arriving at the docks after a good day of fishing, waving hello to Karin. A spin to face Zaine, as he followed behind her, Karin walked backwards towards the end of the dock.

"We should fix these sometime soon..." Karin noted to him as her walking backwards stopped and she turned to the docking point where the ship should arrive with their Mizukage on board. "... A couple more minutes... then the ship'll be in ... the horizon," The words, repeated over and over in her head to keep from worrying. "...A couple more minutes," Out load she repeated it too.

Impatient. The Jounin was growing impatient and was bobbing lightly on her toes as she looked to the horizon where the ship should be in sight by now. "Hrmm..."

Zaine ignored the creaking sounds, he was so overjoyed at the thought of seeing his beloved sensei once more that he leapt off the dock and skated over the water, making his way to the now visible ship, "Come on Karin!!!" he shouted happily, "Let's beat Sensei to the greetings!" he crowed gladly.

The heavy footsteps that Zaine made sped past Karin. Shutting her eyes tight, she expected a splash. Nothing. "Hey," The wind that he made after he sped passed her caused her hair to cover her face and pull her in the direction he went. Hastily she flattened her hair back down and ran to the dock edge. There he was, running atop the water.

"Hahaha," she giggled as her light body fell from the dock and Karin landed on the water. Her teal chakra made it seem that Karin hadn't done anything and was magically walking on water without aide. "Wait," Karin yelped as she rushed to Zaine, seconds and she was closing distance. Swallowing air as she kept pace with him. "OOoooh~ I'll get there before you~" Karin claimed.

Zaine grinned, "Bring it on!" he shouted, laughing freely as he picked his speed up, his golden chakra lent itself to the illusion that Zaine was riding a sunburst over the crystal clear lake.

Pulling ahead of Karin Zaine looked back and stuck a toungue out jokingly, "Catch me if ya can." he said with another laugh, the ship was now very visible, the two Jounin were nearly halfway there, if they had been paying more attention they would have noticed that no cheers, no welcoming words came from the ship their Sensei should have been on, but they were more concerned about the prospect of seeing her that in their minds, they could hear the laughter and musical voice of Rei cheering them on...

"Damn! Another tie eh?" Zaine said with a fake frown, both ninja had reached the hull at the same time, "Oh well, shall we go up?" he asked, already starting to climb the ship.

Her goal, the ship, the carrier of her idol. With a tie, the two arrived at the ship and began to climb to the deck. "I can't believe I tied with you~" Karin pouted as she jumped and climbed. Finally, landing on the deck. "Rei-sama! Mizukage-sama!" The ship mates jumped in surprise after hearing the familiar voice of Shigure's student. Each face looked at the two, and turned away.

"Tsukioma-kun...." Karin murmured as a chill ran down her spine. Her arms crossed and held herself, trying to warm herself, hoping the chill was just the wind. Karin kept walking to the captain's steering room. "Captain, do you know where the Mizukage is?" Slightly confused, usually, Rei-sama would already be on deck. "Hrmm... Maybe she's hiding," Karin giggled at the thought of the possibilty. So playful, she was.

"Maybe, they're sad because they didn't fish well...like the others!" Karin said, a part of her having a small assumption of the situation before them. "Hehehe..." A nervous giggle esaped as Karin awkwardly shuffled around the ship looking for the Mizukage.

Around the last corner, came an ornately dressed elder, who Karin bumped into. "Ah, I'm sorry... Have you seen Rei-sama?" Karin bowed low and asked the elder, whose eyes grew dull at the mention of the name.

"Zaine Tsukioma, I'd like to speak with you, at the office. Do take all the time you need, and make sure she comes too," The old man spoke as he walked off the ship that had finally reached the dock, and made his way to the office. There at the office, Zaine and Karin would learn the reason why their teacher was not at the ship.

"...Somthing is wrong....Rei should have been out here already..." Zaine thought suddenly, an odd feeling forming in the pit of his stomach, this writhing, squirming sensation was eerily familar though he couldn't quite place why...

"Maybe Karin....maybe.." he murmurred, inwardly praying that she was right even though the faces of the crew led him to a darker, more horrifying line of thought, "No...no...no..." he thought, attempting to banish the black, demonic wings of doubt for the condition of his friend.

Tears pricked at Zaine's eyes as soon as he saw the reaction of the elder to the mention of Rei's name, his mind finally recognizing the feeling in his stomach, it was loss. "No...no..NO DAMMIT!!" he screamed mentally, "She can't be! Not her, she wouldn't do that to Karin and me, she wouldn't!" his thoughts then took on a hysterical aspect, "Karin's right, this has to be a joke, a sick one but that's Rei, always one for a laugh." he thought, but even as the ideas formed the logical part of him would dispell them ruthlessly.

Blinking back the tears and gripping Karin into a comforting embrace he nodded to the elder and said in a shaky voice, "V-v-very w-w-well Honored O-o-one." with Karin in tow the group made their way to the office, snow began to fall ever so softly. Zaine's last thoughts before leaving were, "Snow? It was clear out just a moment ago...how funny." he began to laugh internally, a touch of madness reaching his psyche.

"Hehehehe..." Karin chuckled, her voice quacking, her head shook in denile. "Rei...She was always good at this! ...I'm sure the Elder is in on this too," The Jounin looked up at Zaine as he hugged her. "I know he is!" Karin exclaimed, her voice gradually growing louder than she's ever spoken. About the loudness of a child raising their voice to a parent.

While Karin tried to think of other possibilities, she walked against Zaine towards the Office. Karin's eyes began to sting, as she blinked repeatedly, hoping to keep back the tears.
'There's no reason to cry, Karin...Nothing bad is happening. Remember that feeling you had earlier, your always bad with gut feelings, your guesses were always wrong. Why would they be right now? Not now.' This thought, it kept running through her head, convincing her everything was fine. Yet, her mind and her body weren't agreeing with eachother.

Fists shaking, body trembling, eyes stinging, yet her mind was still in denile. "....Zaine, this isn't... don't tell me.... it is... is it?" Karin rambled on, her voice, now barely audible, as she pulled her scarf up to her nose, as she walked towards the Office, hidden in the foggy mist. The cold snowflakes, landing on her warm skin. "Snow, your so harsh, so cold... Yet with a soft look no one would suspect you to have such an unyeilding heart,"

(Enter, Ronmaru.)

Ronmaru stepped in casually from the main part of the village. At first, the guards would think that he was just taking a stroll. However, his stroll took a rather too-close-for-comfort turn to the gate, and the guards took it upon themselves to question him. "Excuse me," the first guard began, "But you seem dangerously close to this gate to just be going out on a stroll. We advise caution against suspicious activity around the gates, as some guards don't take these sorts of things very-"

He was suddenly cut off as a fountain of blood spurted from his lips, landing with horrific splatters on the ground. Ronmaru had just impaled the man with his katana, ending his life swiftly. The other guard drew a huge great sword, and swung it down with behemoth force at Ronmaru. The Jounin was quick on his feet, however, and withdrew backward, easily dodging the swipe. This pattern of humongous swings and dodging continued for a while, Ronmaru landing key slashes here and there until he decided it was time to end it.

When the great sword wielding ninja was about to execute another vertical slash, Ronmaru aimed a wave of razor sharp water from his sword at the man's chest, forcing him to prematurely swing to defend himself. Therein lied his doom. As soon as his sword connected with the woodwork of the bridge, a spike of water shot out from the water behind him, impaling him through the bronchi, cutting off his air circulation rather quickly. The ninja suffocated as Ronmaru left him to die, exiting the village swiftly afterward, as the alarms had been raised while he killed the first ninja. Soon, shinobi would be here to witness the aftermath of his betrayal.

(Exit, Ronmaru.)
