lol apparently in vancouver, when we win gold, it is customary to break out the megaphones and have dance parties in the streets
... in a rain/windstorm it is actually not fun, we should have had a summer olympics xD

I happen to agree with Plushenko and say that the skating is just more about who can give a more artsy performance than who can actually pull off hard skills. However, they should take art performance into consideration when making the final score, just less consideration than skill performance.
Where Plushenko did great skill wise, his program lacked the "flow" that Lysacek had.
That said, as I watched the woman's short programs, Yu-Na's performance was great skill wise, and she deserves that 1st place standing. However, I was not moved by her "Bond Girl" routine. It seemed she was forcing her smiles, and the fake gun was just tacky imo.
Also, while I sympathize with Joannie Rochette, ( I have just lost my sister, and I can't imagine preforming under such mental flargness) she had a really good routine, just not great skill showage. I think that she and Rachel Flatt should be running for 3rd.
I think that in the end, I think that Flatt should have gotten more of a score, since she did just as good a job as Yu-Na. Also, Yu-Na needs to get out of the media coverage... She rather anoys me.... stare But then again, I hate people who are popular for being preppy.... stare
[EDIT:] I'm sorry, but best game/machine of the Olympics. Ever.

Wasn't this all some big misunderstanding? From what I heard he said in one of his Russian interviews that he had taken off his medal after the ceremony because it was heavy. His wife added that the medal was actually made of platinum instead of silver. Also, I thought the gun bit was real cute...but that's just me.

Well, I heard that his Russian website had dubbed him with a platinum medal, and there was no mention of it on his English website. Perhaps it was just an angry webmaster xD
I guess the gun thing was ok.... I guess I'm being unfair... She seems like a really reserved person from what she said in interviews sweatdrop
@Anael: I really doubt that.... xD But I'm not saying it's imposable... xD
