Kyou looked out over the crowd, seeking out Lucis. When he found her, he only saw uncertainty in her eyes. Something was troubling her. Like she didn't know what to think.
"I think... I think we should. Maybe two more," the angel said. Raoul and Kira nodded. Adrian smiled, and the four of them went silently back to their instruments.
Kyou strapped his bass back on and looked to Adrian, who started playing a quick, complex riff on his guitar, which followed by four notes from Kira and Kyou, then joined by Raoul on backup guitar. The four of them rocked for a bit, then dropped off, leaving Adrian the only one playing as Kyou sang:
"I will dedicate And sacrifice my everything For just a second's worth Of how my story's ending And I wish I could know If the directions that I take And all the choices that I make Won't end up all for nothing!"
The band came back, playing in full force, and Raoul joined Kyou in singing:
"Show me what it's for Make me understand it I've been crawling in the dark Looking for the answer Is there something more Than what i've been handed? I've been crawling in the dark Looking for the answer."
The instruments fell back off as Kyou sang the next verse:
"Help me carry on Assure me it's ok to Use my heart and not my eyes To navigate the darkness Will the ending be Ever coming suddenly? Will I ever get to see The ending to my story?"
"Show me what it's for Make me understand it I've been crawling in the dark Looking for the answer Is there something more Than what i've been handed? I've been crawling in the dark Looking for the answer"
The instruments dropped off again, leaving Kyou to grind out a rare solo of his own, as he sang, "So when and how will I know?!"
His solo continued, with Adrian and Raoul supplementing him, as he continued:
"How much further do I have to go? And how much longer til I finally know? Cause I'm looking and I just can't see What's in front of me In front of me!"
Everything died out except for Adrian's guitar again, Kyou's voice now strained now, as it was supposed to be:
"Show me what it's for Make me understand it-"
The instruments came back in full force, as did the angel's voice:
"I've been crawling in the dark, Looking for the answer Is there something more Than what i've been handed? I've been crawling in the dark, Looking for the answer!"
The four of them finished out the song with the rock jam they enjoyed, ending the song abruptly.

((Is Lucis the only one still hanging around the concert? stare )) 'Crud. Apparently my acting doesn't work so well on everyone.' At least once they started playing again Lucis had more time to decide what she wanted to do, not like it helped her much. She clapped as the song ended, still trying to figure out what to do. Eventually she resorted to spinning her bracelet around her wrist while she thought, flicking the amethyst dangling from the large swirled gold links. 'I'll stay. I have to get over this eventually. Maybe this is how.'

[[Seems that way. I just canceled the other guild's concert, cause nobody's here today anyway >.>]]
Adrian nodded and grinned at the crowd, and finally saw what Kyou had seen earlier: Lucis.
"Alright, guys, one more, and then we're done for this year. We hope you've all had a great time, and we invite you to come back next year," he said. As he spoke, Raoul moved backstage and brought out another instrument, one unseen in rock bands, one more suited to country music: the steel guitar.
He sat on a stool similar to Kira's after setting up the steel guitar, and began strumming the boxy instrument.
Letting the somber music wash over him, Adrian began singing, Kyou backing him up.
"Marching alone, like a good soldier does I'm setting sail, with anchors holding me down Pack up my bags, stow them away Bidding farewell to all that is safe
Will I come up for air, come up for air? After awhile the current is calling me Lulling me, waving goodbye I'm out here alone, oh God can you save me now? Sinking my heart turns to stone."
Kira came in on the drums, giving the song a good, solid beat as the swordsman and angel continued into the next verse:
"Withering away, a shrinking violet dies So full of life, these lights have dried me out Into the sea, I needed a drink I never thought this would consume me whole
Will I come up for air, come up for air? After awhile the current is calling me Lulling me, waving goodbye I'm out here alone, oh God can you save me now? Sinking my heart turns to stone (Heart turns to stone) Sinking my heart turns to- Save me, take me home Over and over again Save me, take me home Wishing that this all would end Save me, take me home Over and over again Save me, take me home Wishing that this all would end...
After awhile the current is calling me Lulling me, waving goodbye I'm out here alone, oh God can you save me now? Sinking my heart turns to stone After awhile the current is calling me Lulling me, waving goodbye I'm out here alone, oh God can you save me now? Sinking my heart turns to stone Sinking my heart turns to stone
Save me, take me home Will I come up for air? Will I come up for air? Save me take me home Will I come up for air? Will I come up for air? Save me take me home Over and over again Save me take me home Wishing that this, Wishing that all this would end."

Reika laughed then looked down. "Yep, having fun. You should take a ride." she said throwing her hands up.

((Yesterday was rather crazy, pardon my absence, please.)) The brunette didn't recognize that song either, but she could feel the emotion behind the song easily enough. It took her a short second to realize the song was over before she started clapping and turning pink again from embarrassment. '...I really need to learn to pay more attention to what's going on than my own little world.'
The yelled conversation going on behind her was mildly distracting, but not enough so for her to actually pay attention to it. No, it was more like the noise and the familiar voices that was distracting and easily ignored.

After the concert, when all the instruments were put away, the group had split up, going in different directions to enjoy the rest of the fair while they could. Kyou waded through the crowd at the front of the stage, searching for her.
I hope she hasn't disappeared again... there's so many people here I wouldn't know the difference anyway... and I can't sense anything unusual right now...

Lucis was over her indisicision by the end of the concert, but then the problem became what to do with herself. Shyness aside, she didn't know if she should remain waiting where she was, or to try to go find him herself. Just when she decided standing there looking lost was the last thing she wanted to do, she looked and happened to spot the dark hair searching through the crowd. 'Now if I just don't start blushing and I'll be alright.'
She started walking over towards the front of the stage, smiling and trying to get her voice to get loud enough to be heard. "Hi again. I'm sorry if I made Adrian annoyed with you before." Lucis laughed quietly, trying to hide another smile.

Kyou smiled back at her as he turned and saw her. "No," he said sheepishly. "He was fine, I just shoulda been keeping better track of time is all. Did you enjoy the concert?"

"At least he wasn't annoyed then." She blushed again, embarrassed at her own lack of anything original or useful to say. She had never been much of a talkative person, but not being talkative and saying useless things were very different. Definitely when she was the one saying the useless things."Yeah, yeah I did. I enjoyed it very much. I'd ask if you enjoyed playing.. But I don't think you would have been up there and looking like you were having that much fun if you didn't." And it seemed the laugh was back. 'Is laughter suddenly punctuation? No. So why am I laughing as if it was the period at the end of every phrase?'

Kyou smiled. "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I wonder, though. Want to see the rest of the fair before it closes?" he asked. Immediately, he was somewhat surprised at his own forwardness. He'd never been this direct before, especially around someone he liked. He was usually awkward and reserved. I guess Adrian's rubbed off on me more than I thought.

Lucis was just a bit surprised at the question. She saw nothing wrong with the question or anything, but she couldn't help but have to hide a slight blush. "Sure, I'd love to! I didn't really get to see much of it before the music distracted me... Not that I mind all that much." Almost immediately after saying that, she wanted to go hide under a rock somewhere and wondering what had possessed her to act like such a subtle-flirt. Somehow she managed to cover up her utter embarrassment and keep talking normally, though. "Where do you want to go? I don't know how much of the fair you've seen, but I'm sure it's more than what I saw."
