Feira's mind was divided, she was keeping one eye on the fight, that seemed to be more onesided than anything as James barely made an effort to stay one move ahead of Garret, and one eye on the girl pouring healing magics into her arms.
"Yeah, I did notice something..." she replied as Carina tried to make chitchat to fill the silence. At the same time the girl said she was finished healing, James finished the fight, decking Garret the smack she'd wanted to give him from day one. The Andras students dragged their leader off and James turned after letting a threat hang in the air.
He came over and Feira stood to meet him. He told her to hold still, she pressed her back up against the wall, still feeling trapped with these two so close-force of habit. Light glowed from various places of her wardrobe and anything that held the symbol of her house and transformed them from dragon to vyrkin.
The girl looked up at him and frowned, "...Thank you..." she muttered, lowering her eyes. She wasn't quite sure what to think say. "...So...what now?" She asked awkwardly.

"Thats totally up to you, hun." Carina smiled, getting up and putting an arm around her boyfriends waist. "We're going to go back to our dorm. We'll have to show you the Kedava dormitories, get you a room, but after that your free to roam the halls under normal school rules, Like with Andras house if someone not of Kedava house does something to try and hurt you you can use a simple memorable incantation and you will be returned to the dorm."
"Not that we expect anyone to come for you now. Garret thinks that I've got you under my eye. I'll be looking out for you, of course, but not all the time." James pointed out.
"Come on, we'll take you up to the dorm, its in one of the towers, close to the moon."
"So, Feira, what's your story?" Carina asked. "I'm Carina by the way, not sure if I already said that."

Feira was lost in thought, trying to put two and two together to come up with four, but only managed a three. This all too perky girl, her crazy, super secret agent boyfriend, and hersellf...who she suddenly found in a new house.
Carina started talking again and Feira only half listened until a question was posed. Her story? She shook her head, eyes widening a little. No one knew that except the head master...and that was only because he was the one who found her sitting in-she shuddered.
"Don't really have one. Been coming here as long as I could remember." she said simply. "I guess I owe you both thanks...no one's ever really cared to stand up to Garret before, especially not for me." She put her hands in the shallow pockets of her short skirt, her shoulders poking up awkwardly as she watched her heavy boots while she walked.

"You're welcome, You're a good kid, and I know that sounds patronising, but its the best way to describe it. And sorry, Rina doesn't mean to pry, its just her natural instinct." James said, nudging his girlfriend gently in the side. "She thinks its polite to drag everyone's back story out of them. Don't tell her and you'll be bestest friends forever. I refused to give her a history lesson on James Wardagen, and she's clung on to me." he joked, receiving a return nudge. James laughed, remember his bag and the flower.
"Oh, hey, sorry, Feira, you're still carrying my bag." he said, offering to take it back.
He took the bag back and slung it over his shoulder, pulling out the Dragon Blaze rose. "Carina, 18 months is a long time, but you've made it race by. Thank you." he smiled, kissing her on the cheek as he handed her the flower, blushing slightly in front of his new charge.
Carina grinned broadly adn linked arms with James, resting her head on his shoulder as they walked and admired the rose.
"So, um..." James cleared his throat a little. "Do you have any hobbies? other than avoiding trouble."

Feira passed the bag over when James asked for it and subconsciously took a step or two away from the couple, averting her gaze as James presented Carina with the rose. She suddenly felt awkward and intrusive but there wasn't much she could do about that, even though she wanted to turn and leave, she found herself unable as James cleared his throat and posed a question to bring her back into the company.
The girl rolled her shoulders and shook her head noncommittally, looking in the general direction of the couple while being careful not to make eye contact. This was more social interaction than she'd had in years and she was feeling rather exposed.
"I read and draw." She finally admitted, confusion laced through her voice in the place of the usual hostile guardedness.

"No kidding!" James said, "I make a great subject for talented artists." he joked, gaining a nudge from Carina. "She looks all right as well." he joked, getting punch in the shoulder. "Okay, okay, you're not, jeez."
Carina sighed. "And he thinks he's funnier than he is." she added. "I'm a dragon rider, mostly I just study and tend to Allera, my Western Candrie dragon."
"And I spend all my time in the library doing what you saw me doing earlier." James admitted. "I'm nowhere near as smart as Carina, so I have to spend all my time in there."
"He's being modest, somehow this ding-bat is twice as smart as anyone in the school, including the teachers, he's got more justice in him than anyone I've ever met and he still spends all his time in the library helping out the cranky librarian."
"She's not cranky, just overworked, why do you think I'm in there all the time?" James argued.
"Well maybe its just me then, she wants you all to herself and I'm occupying too much of your time." she said, squeezing him a little.
James turned to Feira, noting her uncomfortableness. "Sorry, we aren't allways this lovey dovey-"
"Sadly thats a lie." Carina pointed out.
"Well we'll tone it down at least." James laughed. He released Carina and moved around the other side of the new girl. "So the Kedava housing area is just up this flgiht of stairs." He said turning up a staircase that seemed to lead to a dead end.
