You know I asked a Twilight-Fanatic recently about the issue of Werewolves Imprinting on Children, specifically that at the end of Breaking Dawn where Jacob Black imprints upon Renesmee.
This is the response I received which I will now share with you in hopes of shedding some light on the subject:
Quote: As it says in the book, Renesmee will never ever want or need anything else because jacob will become whatever she needs, thats the imprint. His purpose in life is her now and if she becomes gay, or falls in love with someone else he will be whatever she needs then, a friend, confidante, guardian.

Interesting, but I don't think that's what Meyer was really going for. >>; Ω

So basically... Another case where her character gives up everything in order to be with her guy?
Pathetic...

Makes Jacob kind of her slave huh?
Or maybe thats just me. I've always viewed Renesmee as a kind of demon-child who wants to RULE THE WORLD!

Except that the entire point of imprintin' is to make sure the wolves have little puppies. So, yes, they will reproduce. Because that's the point of imprintin'.
And, while the "werewolf" is technically also gettin' enslaved by the whole thing, at least they automatically feel the love for the other. They get somethin' out of the relationship. The girls are just supposed to love them back.
And yes, love them like a lovah, 'cause anythin' else would be against the WHOLE POINT of imprintin'.

That response makes it all sound a little less creepy, sure, but I agree with other members that the whole reason for imprinting is (if I remember correctly) finding the very best mate to, well, mate with.
Plus, he's at her beck and call all the time, showing her incredible love and support... when the time comes for her to choose, she will be in a corner, and she really couldn't possibly just say "ew, no". I mean, it would make her and her family look bad, it would cause s**t between vampires and werewolves... why the ******** am I talking about this as if I knew all about it?
