Ack! I have a similar story. When I was young, my mum got a porcelain doll that was about 2 1/2 or 3 feet tall and customized to look like me. When I got home that day I was freaked out but I thanked her and acted like I liked it. But late at night when I went to go to the bathroom I walked by it and it just absolutely petrified me! I broke it and acted like it was an accident... I feel bad for breaking it now. sad
No dolls for me... just stuffed animals. whee I think BJDs are nice but it's just too expensive for me.
To me that doll sounds a lot like the My Twin dolls. I has one too!! Their kinda creepy but cute! heart

dolls are okay for me.... i just don;t have any.... i spend all my money on clothes and jewelry. i did, however, find this really cute cat store thanks to my friend, and inside i found the cutest cat dolls! they look so real~! they are great props for our photo shoots and great for drama class. heart heart those are my only dolls other than my mini bylthe doll i got when i was 12. I called her emma xD
i'll post some pics with her and the cats soon <3

vampiredroid I love Superdolfie's and the other balljointed dolls, they are sooo cute and lovely, but I could never afford one. crying Am I mistaken or is there a Superdolfie store somewhere in California? You are quite correct. Tenshi no Sumika, the only Volks store currently open in the U.S. is located in Torrance, just outside Los Angeles. I have a lot of dollfies, and I'm planning to buy my first MSD later this year. I have three 27 cm dollfies, one 22 cm dollfie mini, a 26 cm J-doll, a Jenny, and a Harajuku Couture. My partner has a 30 cm and a 27 cm dollfie to round out our family. Many of my friends over the years have collected them, and we love them. I know a lot about dollfies, and if anyone is interested in getting started collecting, I can help you with that. Do note that dollfies are different than super dollfies and other BJDs. Dollfies are fashion dolls similar in size to Barbie and Jenny dolls, and BJDs are larger and more like porcelain dolls or My Size Barbie. (BJDs are generally made of vinyl and resin, not porcelain, though.)
