well this is different than all the wiccan friends cause they all accept me for who i am and know that i wish they would turn from their ways and stuff. but this is hard. i would say that you prolly should have told her who aslan represents it might have changed her at least a little bit. to know that our lord suffered more than alsan did in that movies and more than anything she can even imagin, that he faced more pain than i think even the burned witches of the witch trials faced. and since she really doesnt seem to want to listen you really cant make her and her mother doesnt seem to help much either since i get the impretion that she is wiccan too. have you talked to your pastor or your parents to see what they have to say about what you should do?

My dad is an athiest, and my mom doesn't go to church and doesn't really talk about Christ. I've already mentioned it to my Youth Pastor.

Ri-san Now for the second problem. My Wiccan friends is COMPLETELY biased against Christians/ he's abuch of things against Christianity. Apparently she will not forget nor forgive our history with the witch trials that happened. It's called a persecution complex. She's just using it so she can delude herself into believing that she is special/ Quote: In two convos: 1. Wiccan girl's mom: "You can go over to the church if you want to wait." Wiccan Girl: "Nah, I'm sure if I take one step in there, they'll burn me to the ground." haha. she's not all that bright, is she? Not a single wiccan has been killed by christians. Heck, we didn't even get that many actual witches back during the inquisition. Quote: Convo two: Me: "Christians dont burn witches today!" Wiccan girl: "Not yet anyway." I've been deeply offended by her saying this. Eh, just remind her of the three-fold law. Actually knowing their religion off hand better then they do usually shuts them up. Besides, it's not like wiccans can talk. they haven't even been around more then 50-odd years. Quote: We also saw the Chronicles of Narnia on Saturday. She freaked out at the scene when they were going to kill Aslan. She shreaked "Oh my God!" At that moment I felt like yelling at her. Aslan is a symbolistic form of Jesus. I just wanted to yell, "Kendi, Aslan represents Jesus Christ. Jesus was beaten brutally and killed!" Well, you might as well have. Except without the yelling. That gets hteir persecution complex really fired up. Quote: I want to tell her to stop saying biased things about my religion. I have been trying to get an understanding of hers, but she refuses to even learn about mine. How do I say it in a way that wont make things worse? I feel like she doesn't side with me because I'm Christian. I say my opinions and she just doesn't want to hear them. Tell her to shut up. You don't bash her joke of a religion (heck, she's probably even eclectic) and so she has no right to bash yours. Quote: A while back, last year. I had a dream about her. In that dream she came to be saying she wanted to accept Jesus into her heart. After I heard those words I fell to my knees and cried out in joy. I dont want that dream to remain a dream. Be Christ to her. Show her how God's love can work miracles in one's life. As opposed to eclectic wicca, which is 90% persecution complex and 10% power trip.

I have a wiccan friend too... We decided that we could totally talk about each others faith... I've tried one to many times to like change my friend... But it's really hard to change someone who's been reading over tens of hundreds of books on wiccan behavior and such. She is a great friend... she says that she doesn't worship the devil/ or practice witchcraft for the matter.
Lately though we would end up fighting if I start saying anything about "trying Jesus" as she claims... So All I can do left is pray to God that he can change her. I can't change her heart but God can. ^_^
So the best advice I can give you is pray for her and talk to her slowly. Good Luck ^_^

I have a few friends who are into that stuff too. Its hard sometimes they poke fun or hurt me with their complete dis-belief in God. Some of them have completely given up on life and people. I try to keep them positive and always be nice but its kind of hard sometimes. I stick with it anyway though. Just trying to do what I can.

Oh come on now, don't quote Leviticus. That book's insane, seriously. I'd like to quote a friend on the book and his statement of gay rights. It shows a lot about how Lefiticus is insane. linaloki On the topic of Levitican Law: Leviticus 19:27, NIV Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard. So. Those that shave are sinning. Leviticus 19:19, NIV Keep my decrees. Do not mate different kinds of animals. Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material. So. Those that crop in cycles, wear polyester cotton mixes, or breed mules are sinning. Leviticus 15, NIV 1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When any man has a bodily discharge, the discharge is unclean. 3 Whether it continues flowing from his body or is blocked, it will make him unclean. This is how his discharge will bring about uncleanness: 4 " 'Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and anything he sits on will be unclean. 5 Anyone who touches his bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 6 Whoever sits on anything that the man with a discharge sat on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 7 " 'Whoever touches the man who has a discharge must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 8 " 'If the man with the discharge spits on someone who is clean, that person must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 9 " 'Everything the man sits on when riding will be unclean, 10 and whoever touches any of the things that were under him will be unclean till evening; whoever picks up those things must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 11 " 'Anyone the man with a discharge touches without rinsing his hands with water must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 12 " 'A clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden article is to be rinsed with water. 13 " 'When a man is cleansed from his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his ceremonial cleansing; he must wash his clothes and bathe himself with fresh water, and he will be clean. 14 On the eighth day he must take two doves or two young pigeons and come before the LORD to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and give them to the priest. 15 The priest is to sacrifice them, the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement before the LORD for the man because of his discharge. 16 " 'When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 17 Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening. 18 When a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. 19 " 'When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening. 20 " 'Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. 21 Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 22 Whoever touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 23 Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, he will be unclean till evening. 24 " 'If a man lies with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean. 25 " 'When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period. 26 Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period. 27 Whoever touches them will be unclean; he must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 28 " 'When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean. 29 On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 30 The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the LORD for the uncleanness of her discharge. 31 " 'You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling place, which is among them.' " 32 These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen, 33 for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who lies with a woman who is ceremonially unclean. So. Semen is "unclean". Women on periods must be cast out. Leviticus 11, NIV 1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, 2 "Say to the Israelites: 'Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat: 3 You may eat any animal that has a split hoof completely divided and that chews the cud. 4 " 'There are some that only chew the cud or only have a split hoof, but you must not eat them. The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is ceremonially unclean for you. 5 The coney, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is unclean for you. 6 The rabbit, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is unclean for you. 7 And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. 8 You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you. 9 " 'Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams, you may eat any that have fins and scales. 10 But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales-whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water-you are to detest. 11 And since you are to detest them, you must not eat their meat and you must detest their carcasses. 12 Anything living in the water that does not have fins and scales is to be detestable to you. 13 " 'These are the birds you are to detest and not eat because they are detestable: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture, 14 the red kite, any kind of black kite, 15 any kind of raven, 16 the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk, 17 the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl, 18 the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey, 19 the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat. 20 " 'All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you. 21 There are, however, some winged creatures that walk on all fours that you may eat: those that have jointed legs for hopping on the ground. 22 Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper. 23 But all other winged creatures that have four legs you are to detest. 24 " 'You will make yourselves unclean by these; whoever touches their carcasses will be unclean till evening. 25 Whoever picks up one of their carcasses must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean till evening. 26 " 'Every animal that has a split hoof not completely divided or that does not chew the cud is unclean for you; whoever touches the carcass of any of them will be unclean. 27 Of all the animals that walk on all fours, those that walk on their paws are unclean for you; whoever touches their carcasses will be unclean till evening. 28 Anyone who picks up their carcasses must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean till evening. They are unclean for you. 29 " 'Of the animals that move about on the ground, these are unclean for you: the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard, 30 the gecko, the monitor lizard, the wall lizard, the skink and the chameleon. 31 Of all those that move along the ground, these are unclean for you. Whoever touches them when they are dead will be unclean till evening. 32 When one of them dies and falls on something, that article, whatever its use, will be unclean, whether it is made of wood, cloth, hide or sackcloth. Put it in water; it will be unclean till evening, and then it will be clean. 33 If one of them falls into a clay pot, everything in it will be unclean, and you must break the pot. 34 Any food that could be eaten but has water on it from such a pot is unclean, and any liquid that could be drunk from it is unclean. 35 Anything that one of their carcasses falls on becomes unclean; an oven or cooking pot must be broken up. They are unclean, and you are to regard them as unclean. 36 A spring, however, or a cistern for collecting water remains clean, but anyone who touches one of these carcasses is unclean. 37 If a carcass falls on any seeds that are to be planted, they remain clean. 38 But if water has been put on the seed and a carcass falls on it, it is unclean for you. 39 " 'If an animal that you are allowed to eat dies, anyone who touches the carcass will be unclean till evening. 40 Anyone who eats some of the carcass must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean till evening. Anyone who picks up the carcass must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean till evening. 41 " 'Every creature that moves about on the ground is detestable; it is not to be eaten. 42 You are not to eat any creature that moves about on the ground, whether it moves on its belly or walks on all fours or on many feet; it is detestable. 43 Do not defile yourselves by any of these creatures. Do not make yourselves unclean by means of them or be made unclean by them. 44 I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Do not make yourselves unclean by any creature that moves about on the ground. 45 I am the LORD who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy. 46 " 'These are the regulations concerning animals, birds, every living thing that moves in the water and every creature that moves about on the ground. 47 You must distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between living creatures that may be eaten and those that may not be eaten.' " So. You can't eat lobster or crawfish. Or pork. So why just pick at the verses against homosexuals? Oh, BTW. Christians do not have to follow Levitican Law. Acts 10:10-16, NIV 10He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of fourfooted animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. 13Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.” 14“Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” 15The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” 16This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven. Suddenly the animals aren't unclean. Oh, and here. Acts 15:24-29, NIV 24We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. 25So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul– 26men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. 28It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell. Tada! So. Where's your Biblical proof now? Anyway, sorry for the long quote. Back on topic. Would you like it if she tried to convert you to your religion? No. Do you think she'd like it if you try to convert her to your religion? No. You are both "sure" on your religious beliefs and I think you should live and let live in this situation. Don't get upset every time you meet someone who isn't a Christan because you're going to be meeting a lot of those types of people in life and trying to convert every one of them isn't a good strategy.

i have had dreams of my friends converting. it has never happened.
now, when you say wicca, most wicca's i know have nothing to do with witchcraft in any sense. they more celebrate the life and things around them than anythign else, and endeavor to learn more aobut those things. so, if your friend is practicing witch craft, then they are not truly what today calls "wiccans" or what most wiccans would call themselves.

Crimson and I have discussed in a separate thread that her version of practice is not consistent with the way in which the majority of Wiccans practice their faith. Wicca is not a Christian religion, it is a new religion which is based on the Pagan religions of pre-Christian Europe.
That being said, you will find that most Wiccans, while they may not believe that Jesus was divine, do believe that he was a wise man with important teachings to offer the world. And we respect the right of those who find that they are best served spiritually by following Him to practice their religion. We do not try to convert others, nor do we make fun or say nasty things about another's religious choice. To do so is no more correct behavior that when someone makes fun of the Wiccan path or tells us we are going to Hell for our beliefs. Each of us must find the spiritual path that brings us closest to the Divine For some that is Christianity, for some it is Islam, and for some it is Wicca.
As a Wiccan, all I ask is that you respect my right to make my own choices, even if you don't agree with them. If you want to discuss the religious beliefs we both hold, I am happy to do so....as long as you don't try to force your beliefs on me..as I won't force mine on you.
You will also find that most Wiccans have put the past behind us. The myths of the so-called Burning Times are just that, myths. To continue to dwell on things that happened hundreds of years ago simply builds more walls between us and continues the hatred. No one benefits from that.
And don't be led into thinking that we are not Christian because we don't know anything of Christianity. Many of us practiced Christianity for a number of years, including extensive study of the Bible. But in the end we followed what was in our hearts and it led us down a different path than you.
Blessings,
-Lark-

I know a few wiccans and I think one of my classmates is a wiccan cause she says she can cast magic, but she is kind of on the loony side. (o_O) Anywho, it IS kinda hard being friends with someone of oppostite religion because you say somthing and then get all pissed and say that you offended their religion when you ment no harm from the beggining. I am trying to convert one of my friends slowly, but it's really hard because the rest of her family is athiest.
I wish you the best of luck to bridge the bond you have and to ignor the fact you ahve different religions.
