cagalli1543 I barely go outside and I think it a pain to carry an umbrella, purse, etc. all at the same time. I think the same thing, purses and parasols can be burdensome. 3nodding

thats happened to me. Where guys will come up to me. And i dont even have lolita dresses yet. i'll be wearing normal clothes and they come up to me. At first i got pretty scared. But now i know how to get them away from me. once it was at night , there were 3 boys. About my age. Came up to me and i said my parents are waiting for me over there*and i pointed*. before i could even blink that boy was long gone. Another time it was at the mall. i was just waiting for some people, for my friends birthday. and as i was walking a guy starts walking towards me. I expected it though so i was ready. What i wasnt ready for though was her friends were in cosplay and in a weird way they kinda saved me from the creep. All they did was run at me. once the guy saw i wasnt alone he left.

i'm alone all the time when i dress differently, but i guess its where you're at and how you look. When i go raver, people just look and laugh, maybe honk a horn or something... I dont care, most of the time im listening to music anyways. When i go lolita, i get alot of honks from horns, but i never get any physical harassment. I think that the people around here dont really give a damn, but i do. Its a statement, and sometimes you have to be ready for the treatment you're going to get... and i carry a bag everywhere i go, or at least my wallet. XD

Just because no one has ever picked on or cornered you doesn't mean it's automatically never going to happen. You have to use common sense and responsibility to make sure it never happens. You're the only person who can make sure you're always safe, in or out of an attention grabbing outfit.

I watched all the way through that video, and I do think that was very useful! Thank you for posting that link!
Hopefully I won't ever have to use those techniques, but now I'll have a sense of how to react and earn a fast getaway.
Oh. And the video isn't cheesy at all. o.o

It's never happened in Lolita, but in my Organization XIII cloak I've had people punch me, throw things at me from their car (like I've had a baseball thrown at me, a full coca cola bottle, and other somewhat heavy and painful objects, thank the gods all of them have missed), I've been followed, hit with a bible, and other creepy things. Does that stop me? NO! biggrin
It's much safer to be in a group of friends, especially if one lolita gets hit all the others would look HELLA scary going to beat the crap out of the offender! xD
It was man who has been divided....
