What are you celebrating, and what are your plans?
This holiday always sneaks up on me....

Yeah... me too. I was driving around yesterday and saw some little lambs in a field and thought, isn't it a little early for that and then realized that Imbolc was only a few days away.
Not sure what I'm doing, I haven't been feeling all that well, but hopefully by the 3rd I will be feeling up to something. At Imbolc I usually lay out my goals for the coming year, but I haven't really sat down and thought about what I want to accomplish yet.

Absolutely, positively no idea whatsoever. Doing god research at the moment, and when I run across one that I get an inner nudge toward that has something to do with the season or something similar, I may do a ritual and give an offering. As of right now? Hell if I know. xd
I need to make time for my book... *Sigh*

I think I'll honour Thor and Sif again this year alongside Freyr.
And for Lammas I might try to bake. Unlikely though. I'll find some way to get really good, hot fresh bread.

Since I'm what my friend likes to call a "Paginner", I don't have any experience with the holidays, or celebrating them, but I do plan on attending an open Imbolc ritual with my Pagan community group Feb 6. I've studied on what it represents, and why it's celebrated (to welcome back the sunlight and the warmth of Spring, new beginnings, etc.), but I feel that seeing how other, much older and experience Pagans celebrate it will give me some sort of reference point. (:

Awww...."Paginner" that's sorta cute whee . She means it in a nice way, right? Not a condescending way I hope.
I was planning on contacting the coven up in MI shortly after Imbolc. Or I may wait until right around Beltane. I'm not sure yet sweatdrop .
For Charming of the Plow, I will probably offer bread, milk, and/or mead to Thorr. Maybe something to Ullr as well for allowing this winter to be fairly mild by Ohio standards xd

The holidays always sneak up on me. Even if it's one of my favorite holidays and I really want to do something for it, it just doesn't work out. If I'm lucky and have the time I like to do a small ritual for each one.
Btw, Fraulein von Vermilion, I love, love, love your sig.

I loved Freyfaxi last year. My trouble is always that I try to honour too many deities. But you know, I'm really growing fond of Freyr. So I do want to do something for him. And I loved connecting with Sif last year so I want to do that again too, particularly since I feel like I don't honour her or her husband nearly enough.

To the one that I serve Ok, so what is the Nordic Holiday? For Quickening (The festival I honor) I plan to do something revolving around candle light. And guiding the God back to life for him to be Born at Birthing. I will give my all
