Sam's Mini-Bio of Randomsauce
Hello! I have heard a lot about this wonderful place called Gaia from a few friends and have decided to make an account. Please don't hesitate to say hi, I would love to make new friends here!A little about me...I'm Sam, and I'm a pagan with some non-pagan leanings. I believe in the Hindu concept of dharma, and I try to read the Bible almost everyday. I try not to judge people by the categories that Western society lables them. I do not fit into these lables well, myself, so I realize that others usually do not, as well.
Feel free to PM me! I love making new friends!
Gods bless!

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be at your back
May the sun shine down upon you
Until we meet again
--------------------------------------
Dear Lord,
Give me a few friends
who will love me for what I am,
and keep ever burning
before my vagrant steps
the kindly light of hope...
And though I come not within sight
of the castle of my dreams,
teach me to be thankful for life,
and for time's olden memories
that are good and sweet.
And may the evening's twilight
find me gentle still.
--------------------------------------
May the blessing of light be on you—
light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you
and warm your heart
till it glows like a great peat fire.
--------------------------------------
May you see God's light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall—
You do not walk alone.
--------------------------------------
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

A single thread in a tapestry
Through its color brightly shine
Can never see its purpose
In the pattern of the grand design
And the stone that sits on the very top
Of the mountain's mighty face
Does it think it's more important
Than the stones that form the base?
So how can you see what your life is worth
Or where your value lies?
You can never see through the eyes of man
You must look at your life
Look at your life through heaven's eyes
Lai-la-lai...
A lake of gold in the desert sand
Is less than a cool fresh spring
And to one lost sheep, a shepherd boy
Is greater than the richest king
If a man lose ev'rything he owns
Has he truly lost his worth?
Or is it the beginning
Of a new and brighter birth?
So how do you measure the worth of a man
In wealth or strength or size?
In how much he gained or how much he gave?
The answer will come
The answer will come to him who tries
To look at his life through heaven's eyes
And that's why we share all we have with you
Though there's little to be found
When all you've got is nothing
There's a lot to go around
No life can escape being blown about
By the winds of change and chance
And though you never know all the steps
You must learn to join the dance
You must learn to join the dance
Lai-la-lai...
So how do you judge what a man is worth
By what he builds or buys?
You can never see with your eyes on earth
Look through heaven's eyes
Look at your life
Look at your life
Look at your life through heaven's eyes

The following quotes are from Jennifer Roberson's Sword-Breaker.
"--or is it possible, he wonders, that gods are merely constructs of magic?"
"'Just like a man,' she said, 'to make a woman's body the issue instead of the woman's skill.'"
"'It feels a lot like I do: a horse ridden hard and put away wet.'"
"'The shodo always said money couldn't buy friendship--or rivalry....'"
"'All men with power ARE power: the name doesn't matter.'"
"'One cannot judge a man until one has tried his vices.'"
"'It's not my way to use or depend on magic. It's a CRUTCH, like religion.'"
"'Do you see, Delilah? There is no knowing the truth, because the truth is everchanging. The moment one truth becomes another, the old truth becomes a lie.'"
