I know exactly how you're feeling... Except I was lucky... As stupid as this may sound, I went to Sri Lanka, and as some of you may know, that country is in war. I brought my DS with me in a suitcase without really knowing that the Army would actually be suspicious of it. They thought it was a bomb, and started playng around with it... I was freaking out because Pokemon was in there, and there was a possiblity that they wouldn't give it back to me. I had to wait an hour till they finally thought it was safe >_<
When you say "playing around with it" do you mean actually playing a game or like they took it apart?
They didn't take it apart, thank goodness! They found the "On/Off" button, and started doing random things... I know they managed to switch it on, because my DS had been switched to automatic mode, which makes you go straight into the DS game without the menu mode where you can choose between the GBA game or DS game. It took me forever to figure out how to put it back into manual mode. They also took some of my games out of the DS case, and I thought they kept them for safety reasons (lol) but they put it back in the suitcase... I was pretty relieved ^_^
I can just imagine people treating the DS like it's alien technology... or that they're intelligent apes who have never seen human technology close up or something lol.
Glad you got your stuff back. I hope they don't start doing that in America. Otherwise the terrorists have one. Their goals are to make sure that Americans are paranoid of everything. They don't want liquids, shoes, underwear, or entertainment devices going onto planes. They want us to scare ourselves out of our debt filled house and onto the streets. The more we spend on defense the happier they are. It means less high speed internet, less educational infastructure, etc...
I couldn't imagine going to a country that is involved in war, what were you doing going to Sri Lanka?
