We have had Messianic Jews in the guild before, and that's fine. It's basically a person of a Jewish background who is a Christian. You think Jews are the only ones that get "made fun of?" Baptists get crap all the time, so do others.
You've already insulted 'Bait, and he hasn't said anything deserving an insult. I'm calling you out on that, and I'm going to ask that you be more respectful of everyone here, especially considering you started this thread and you expect others to respect you.
You're welcome to stay or leave as you will. It is your choice, and if you decide to stay, then please don't get upset when people want to try and help in their own ways.
I never insulted bait for pete sakes
'Fraid I gotta call
you on that one, Xi; I gotta back Sub-zero here. Technically, he
didn't insult me, at least not directly. Or if he did, he amended it out before I read it. I appreciate you backing me up and trying to keep our people following the rules, but ... this time, I think, it's unneeded.
But ...
I'm probably about to be insulting. I'll try to restrain myself, but you've dealt with me longer than most; you know how hard it is for me. So, if you want to chew someone out, start with me.
==========
Sub, I don't know what's happening to you real-world, but as far as here ... I never snickered when calling you a Jew. In fact, I never called you a Jew. I
did snicker when you called Hebrew "God's language", because it's a statement I find amusing (for reasons I've already partly explained, and won't go into again right now).
Now, if I
had ... well, that would be dangerous, wouldn't it? I mean, Genesis clearly says of Abraham and his seed, "Those who bless you, I'll bless. Those who curse you, I'll curse." And me, I try to stay on God's good side ... which means I
respect the Jews. My old teacher and I had many,
many conversations around that particular topic; I honestly think, if he could have converted to Judaism without giving up his seat in the Baptist church choir, he would have.
Now, as far as this guild being "respecting" ... I do have to point out (again!) that
you are the one who
started the disrespect. Except for a few things
I've said (and I admit, I'm probably the most abrasive person here) that have been taken out of context -- and now, Xi, being mistaken about you insulting me --
nobody has been disrespectful to you.
But I got to thinking about you last night, and I snuck a look at your profile. Know what I found? I found somebody who's like the old James Dean movie,
Rebel Without A Cause. It's somebody who'll say anything, just to be contrary, or for shock value. Somebody who hasn't got any opinions or thoughts of their own, who just takes what others say and reverses it.
Frankly, I agree with you about Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron. Neither of them is that interesting, and I'm about ready to puke the next time somebody tries to tell me otherwise. You're absolutely right on that. On the other hand, I don't get the part about "being a Christian without having your finger stuck in your butt" or "farting on a spoon", and "have a dark day" is right out. "I've been into the Bible a little deeper than most people" ... um, maybe more than most of the people you personally know, but clearly not more than most of our members. And I'd love to know why Sammy Perez is calling you a "perv".
But you're doing all these things 'cause you want to be different, you want to be contrary, you want folks to look at you and say, "wow, he's not normal".
If that's what you really want, then go for it. But if what you want is
respect, you got to
give some first. Nobody, especially nobody here, is going to respect you just 'cause you're looking for something to rebel against. Fact is, you
lose face in my book, because rebelling against something means that the something is what's
really guiding you.
You say you want help; try to accept it. You want to be accepted? Try to accept the people who are accepting you. You want God? Try to keep in mind what God did to the
original rebel.
