Yuumei nodded, understanding the story of the little creatures. "Now it's clear. It'd be neat to see one, don't you think, Rei?" She turned to her daughter, who seemed to be lost--staring deep into the woods. "Rei?"
What they didn't know, was that Rei could feel another fa'e's presence. She could hear a faint cry somewhere, of a new baby; their past flashing through her mind. She then looked slowly... something was making her gaze upon Kit. What connected all these things together? Rei looked back in the direction of the energy... the soul. "Would you mind taking a detour, Kit-san? I have this odd feeling..."
She began to wonder if she could feel it too.

Blinking a moment she turned to Rei to see her staring off as well. She walked over next to her and looked out to where she was looking suddenly she heard a child crying. She looked down to Hitoma realizing it wasn't her she looked back up to Rei "What on earth is that?"

"I'm not sure," Rei whispered. "But... something is telling me we have to go find out who it is."
Yuumei looked at her fa'e daughter oddly. "What is it, dear?"
"Just... just follow me." She then began wandering off, towards the cries--the prescence of a soul strengthening with each step.

Kit blinked at Yuu then blinked back to Rei. Taking a moment she shrugged then followed after Rei, she wanted to be there incase she needed help. If anyone knew these forests, it was Kit. After a few moments they were deep into the forest and the crying seem to be coming from up above. She looked up but didn't see anything... odd...

The crying grew louder and louder, as they went deeper and deeper. When Rei noticed that Kit looked up... she did too. The fa'e gasped. Could it be?
"I'm going to fly up there... I think I know who's crying..."

Kit watched Rei carefully, her eyes squinted to see if she could catch a glimpse of anything.
"Be careful! These forests are dense!!!"
She blocked the sun from her eyes with her hand and waited anxiously for Rei.

"All right, Kit-san," she responded as she took flight. Looking through the trees and following the presence she felt, she started to see more glimpses of someone's past life. The closer she got, the stronger the memories got. It was so overwhelming that she was felt like she was going to faint, until...
until she heard a baby crying in the trees.
He was no ordinary baby though.
She took the new fa'e in her arms and as carefully as she could, land back on the ground. The baby wouldn't stop crying, but in the prescence of Kit... it seemed that he wasn't as loud as before.

She blinked in shock as she looked at the tiny thing that was big enough to hold in her hand. Pretty big voice for such a little creature. She had never seen a bat that looked so human before o.O Looking up to Rei she nipped her lower lip.
"Ano... what's this???"
The baby began to grow quiet and giggle a bit as she moved some hair out of his tiny eyes.

Yuumei grinned, as Hinote motioned to come closer. The bat-like baby was so cute! "I'm guessing that this little one's a fa'e."
"I think so too," Rei agreed, as she gave the fa'e baby to Kit. "This is the first time I have found one before--usually Anya-san and Airi-san find these little ones."

Taking the little one in her hand she scrunched her nose and blinked down at him, he was so soft and warm. A smile spread across her lips and she purred happily as she held him close. He yawned and curled close to her, his little eyes closing as he quickly went to sleep.
"Fa'e? I have heard of creatures like that... but... what do I do now?"
She blinked up at the two and nipped her lower lip.

"Well, looks like you're his Guardian," Yuu said. "Perhaps it was fate for us to meet you so that you'd meet this little one."
Rei nodded. "Perhaps you can come to the HQ so that everyone knows about him. It's always nice to have the new fa'e meet everyone.
So... what's his name?"

Nodding she snuggled the little one to her cheek and smiled.
"I think Ill call him 'Kanoa'... it means 'free one'..."
She pointed to his little wings and laughed.
"Ooohhh head quarters... sounds like a good idea. Maybe I can clean up and go with you guys?"

Free one... it seemed so perfect for him. "That's a great name! Hinote, say hi to Kanoa!" Yuu encouraged her daughter, who gurgled a little welcome.
Rei laughed as she nodded. "Sure, that'd be great. Perhaps we should hurry back to your house, Kit-san?"

Nodding quickly she lead the three back to her house. The little bat boy began to chatter lightly and clung to Kit's shirt with his clawed feet. Once inside she took off her apron and quickly went to the closet and pulled out a tink pink blanket to wrap him in. He watched her with wide eyes and sniffed the blanket as she lay him on it, his little wings opened and he crawled around it a moment before burrying deep into it's folds. A few moments later he poked his little head out, saw Hinote, squeaked and hid back into the blanket. Seems he was playing peek-a-boo.

Hinoted giggled and tried to play with him by using her mother's hat to cover her. Every once in a while, she'd peek out to look at him and then hide her face, laughing and smiled. Yuu couldn't help but be amused by this. "Aww, so cute!"
