Thanks. I'm fielding a few ideas so maybe one of them will work out for me.

Wow, I haven't been here for this long. I'm sorry.
I tried to write some a few days back but it felt all wrong and was coming out in spurts. I know I have a story inside me but it just wont come out. Here's to hoping I can get it worked out soon. I'm starting to doubt myself bad in writing again.

Hey anybody reading this.
I feel like a failure. I haven't really done anything with my writing for so long now. I've tried to brainstorm some, but it just feels like drifting shadows. The more I live life, the more I lose. Anybody know something that might help? I know if i could get into a schedule with my job, I might be able to plan some time just for writing. Any help would be loved.

It's okay to take a break from writing. I actually took a few years off. If you're getting too discouraged, it might help to let yourself relax and not stress over it, especially if your life is really hectic right now.
You could also start small, cut out small chunks of time. Multitask by brainstorming in the shower, or get up 15 minutes early and use that time to write.
But really I think the big thing is not to beat yourself up over it.

Keep a notebook with you at all times and write during the small five minuets or so of free time during the day. Or promise yourself you'll write so many words (I'd start with a low number if you are really all that busy). If you are really as busy as you say then you probably shouldn't commit to just a story, at least not a novel length one, but that doesn't matter, so long as you just write a little to stay in tuned with writing.
Trying doing a daily prompt or promising yourself to write one drabble each day. Don't make a commitment you know you can't keep, start small, and once you accomplish that you'll get so much more confidence about your writing. Good luck.

Yes, I agree with the suggestions. A little bit of writing a day, even if it is a few words will get you up and running in no time. Go online, search up a few writing exercises. smile

Well, this time it's not my life I blame. It's myself. I've been neglecting my writing. Truthfully, my life isn't all that busy, I think I just feel like it is. But I am going to take your guy's suggestions and try to do them. Hopefully soon, I'll have good news to post.

*Rises from the dead* Hello. I can't believe it has been three years and a day since I last posted here! I'm proud to say that in this time, I have written two full stories during NaNoWriMo. One of those actually made it past the 50,000 word goal, last November. Haven't written since but I'm gearing up for another Nano. I wish you all the best in writing and can't wait to get going again!
