Suki Yamato Aspirins And Alcohol Suki Yamato So sorry for my absence, sweetie. I've been running myself ragged getting the kid to driver's ed, apping for scholarships, doing college tours, and endless shopping so she could have a semi-cool dorm room. Matters were made worse when we found out two days ago that all the dorms were full and have been since the beginning of December. No one bothered to mention that little tidbit when she signed up for Spring semester housing. *bastards* So, we've been scrabbling the last two days to find her an apartment on or near campus. It's been a mess. >.< I just haven't had more than a couple minutes to grab my daily chances before passing out in the evening or being rush out the door in the morning. Hopefully things will calm down in a week or so and I'll be able to post a bit more. now you make me feel guilty D: i hope it all works out wow that is, i wanna place like that

For me it's all about location.
My room is tiny and we aren't even allowed a microwave, but all I do is sleep in my room.
I've got the greatest location a CJ major could ask for though.
on one side is the CJ building and on the other side I'm a 1 minute walk from the cafeteria and the Kats For Christ building which is where I pretty much live. Most everything else I need is just another 3 minute walk away. =]
And did I mention I'm in the only coed dorm on sorority hill? XD
How did I get such a sweet dorm?
I put down Gibbs house as my third choice just because as a CJ nerd I love NCIS. ROFL
Watching TV really does come in handy!

Classic Noir For me it's all about location. My room is tiny and we aren't even allowed a microwave, but all I do is sleep in my room. Well first there was wrapping up the fall semester projects, papers, finals... then the Monday we all go on Winter Break... Mom goes in to the hospital with another deep vein thrombosis (while she was on blood thinners) and a mass on her ovary/fallopian tube --> surgery two days before Christmas --> stage 2 ovarian cancer ---> recovery. Mostly been household management stuff that Mom or Dad usually do, but Mom's been zonked on painkiller, reduced mobility, and can't lift anything over 5 pounds. Good news is that the mass was confined to the ovary/fallopian tube and pathology report said everything else was clean AND her surgeon specializes in obstetrical oncology and is seriously like the BEST in our city - excellent prognosis.
Mom's finally turned the post-surgery corner where she's getting bossy and over the past few things her favorite bossy thing to do has been saying, "Lauraaaa! Play Assassin's Creed 2!" or "Laura! make me some shortbread cookies!" Because she really enjoys watching it and discovered that I make wicked cookies.
So now it's January 15th, I start my last semester of my undergrad degree in 4 days. Trying to cram all my winter break fun and birthday in to the last four days of freedom.

it was the one holiday season people are most likely to get caught up in what ever hell hole their in and probably temporarily forget about logging on. Christmas, new years, vacations, etcs.
think things can be sped up if we get 2 - 5 more active guild members to put in more topics to reply to.

I'm a senior in high school trying to get into college and juggle homework. I miss talking to you all, but I only find a few moments to pop in and lurk. Today's a half-day.

dont get me wrong if you guys are legitimately busy, or just dont go on gaia much any more i understand im not gonna hold it against you
I mean the people who are on gaia alot but not here-i wanna know why
but i suppose thats a catch 22, if they arent here they cant tell me
but wain smiles noelle typo rini i really miss you guys, everyso often pop in post a thread say hi i would love that-i hate losing touch with people
