Dobermanns look pretty tough right? o_o Hmm but it is a female...
What about Yamabuki? It doesn't sound to girly but it means Japanese rose, or golden coloring (as in fall leaves).

It doesn't sound to girly but it means Japanese rose, or golden coloring (as in fall leaves). that is a clever name, but at the same time (judging by the simple names she has in the polls) i don't think she would want to give it such a complex name... ...well... ...not so much that it is complex, it just seems like too much of a, say, extravagant name for a pet dog. sweatdrop maybe its just me, i dunno...

Here are some popular names for Japanese pets. clickPersonally, I'd name it referring to its size (or personality once you get it) like Chiisai or Sukoshi.

Shigure (I think thats how you spell it). Not stricly a girls name (well not at all a girls name), but it is the name of the Dog in the Zodiac from fruits basket. And a very cool name!!!
