Bailey altered it's wing patterns to flutter down into their booth. Once Lo had maneuvered in beside it, it stopped played with a tired sigh.

"Don't tucker yourself out, sweetness." She kissed it's forehead and wobbled her purse onto her lap. Taking a knife in hand she moved to cut Bailey off a slice before serving everyone else. She scraped the icing off her piece onto Bailey's with a smile and slid it over.

The toddler smiled, but instead of eating the icing it made decorative clothing for the cookie men and handed one to Cookie.

"Ohehe." Lo took a bite of hers and moaned a little. "It's much too delicious to be a toy."

Bailey held watched for Cookie's reaction. Best to have someone else try it first incase it was yucky, but it looked like she liked it. It licked it's lips and took a bite, smearing icing like a mustache. "It's good!" The toddler said incrediously, which only made Lo laugh more. It eagerly took another bite.

Bailey giggled at Cookie and licked some icing off the cookie piece. When it's wings tucked into the sides, the thick braid slid over the toddler's shoulder onto it's chest with the end slapping onto the cookie man. "Oh no!"

It picked the braid up and looked at it before sucking the icing off. Lo reached over to swing the braid around behind it's head and clean it off while Bailey danced it's cookie man for Cookie.

Bailey made the cookie man climb a stack of napkins. "Ooh, ooh! I know another twick." It sat the cookie down and grabbed a napkin. It ripped off a piece, wadded it up into a ball and stuffed it up a straw. It shot it out at the next table. "Fhali taught me dat. Wanna twy?"

"The same place someone finds a chimera, I suppose." She chuckled. "My daughter, Gabrielle, adopted Bailey after she adopted her first child from two teenagers in a cave. When she passed on, the kids fell to me. Lissy was too energetic for this old bones so I had to split them up." She snuggled Bailey close, oblivious to the spit balls.

"Doesn't that seem odd to you?" Lo pursued, using her cookie slice as a pointer. "You don't think they kidnapped them, do you? Breaks my heart just thinking about it."

Bailey sat back in it's seat and decided to munch on some cake with the occasional lip to it's icing mustache.

Lo murmured her acknowledgement, though it didn't sit well with her. Kids these days with their experiments. In her day, they made babies naturally. "Wooh, ee. Anymore of that cake and I'll get the shuga."

Bailey squeeked, pulling back with it's eyes cross eyed to see the spot. It stretched it's tongue out to lick it off, but couldn't reach it.

Though Lo saw the exchange, she didn't think much on it. She looked down at her watch and nodded. "I'd say that goes doubly for us. My stories are about to come on." The elderly woman started to clean up her mess and broke out the plastic baggies from her purse to snag up some left overs for Bailey. "Ready to go?"

The toddler frowned and looked at Cookie, then Lam and Cookie again. "We play again?"

Bailey stood up on it's tippy toes to give Cookie a hug, then it fluttered up to Lo's shoulder height. She smiled at her grand-baby before turning back to Lam. "It goes doubly for us, dear. You and Cookie should come visit us sometime." The elderly woman bent over to write her address and phone number on a napkin before handing it over. "Don't be afraid to call."

"Bye bye!" The toddler waved and followed Lo, out the door, doing a two handed wave out the window before disappearing around the building.
