For some reason I can't get my Xbox connectd to Live.I'm using cable and I know it has Internet on it.I have the modem (tried using just it at first,found out I needed a router) and I tried using a computer as a router which I've seen done before,but I still can't connect.Help?

yOU NEED A WIRELESS ROUTER AND A WIRELESS 360 ADAPTER

I've looked into that and they aren't required.You can do it using cable/modem/router but for some reason I'm having trouble with it

It could be that your network connection is weak. Trust me it happens to me.
Well, just make sure that your ethernet cable is plugged in between your 360 and your modem.
