Nenth "Riders on the Storm" is the best for a rainy day, especially if your travelling at night. Hmm...true true.

i could understand roadhouse blues but riders on the storm wasn't about driving. it was somewhat of an autobiographical account of Morrison's life. he considered himself to be a rider on the storm. and the killer on the road was a reference to his screenplay "the hitchhiker" the lyrics "you gotta love your man" can be seen as a desperate plea to his long time girlfriend Pamela.

A song doesnt have to be about driving to make it a good driving song. It depends on the circumstances of where, when, weather, ect of the drive

Songs to have to be about driving for you to enjoy driving to them. Setting is a good was to describe the importance of a song in the car as well. =) I agree.

Waiting for the Sun moments before dawn, that actually happened this year to me while driving. It fit more than perfectly. Overall The Doors make a pretty good band to listen to while driving (not limited to).
