I think Dusclops can learn Dynamic punch from a move tutor... That's the only one that springs to mind. ^-^

The only benefit to be obtained from Generation 3 would be (as Erik of the PWG has already stated) from the exclusive Move tutors. Most of the more popular tutors have been made available in Platinum (Ice Punch/Dragon Dance Feraligatr, etc) but a few specialties still can only be obtained via Gen 3. Examples: Body Slam/Softboiled Togekiss, Body Slam Kangaskhan, Seismic Toss Blissey, Double-Edge/Body Slam Tauros, Double-Edge/Body Slam/Softboiled Clefable and DynamicPunch Dusknoir, just to name a few.

Also, certain types would only be physical, & others would only be special. For example: All Fire moves that inflicted direct damage (Not Will-o-wisp) were cosidered special attacks. So Alakazam had the elemental punches on his side, as in, they were actually useful. Whereas in D/P/Pt they use his regular attack stat. (Which is rather pitiful).
I do prefer D/P/Pt's way though.

Sword Dancing Qwilfish.
s**t's so awesome, I don't know what to say. And you can only get it from emerald's move tutor, for whatever reason the designers refuse to let the little fishy learn this awesome attack in Gen 4. (No TM, No Move tutors in Gen IV, regardless of the game.)
