Yeah, it does get a bit tedious reading one thread then another about the same exact thing. Personally I don't want them to kiss since it seems so strange even in fanfiction...

Most anime movies seem like fanfics turned into films. Wouldn't it be nice to get your own fanfic up on the big screen?

Doesn't that mean "Yes! Detectives are beautiful"?
What does that have to do with the poll?
Did anyone fall for that thinking it means "Yes! Detectives should be organised!"?

Meh I was going for the meaning "clean/neat" rather than "beautiful." >< Kirei is one of those words that sounds the same and is spelled the same but can mean more than one thing, ya know. Homophones, I think they're called...
So it would be more of "Yes! Detectives are/should be clean/neat!" rather than "Yes! Detectives are/should be beautiful!"
I do my homework, ya know. My sensei would have it no other way!

Either way it would mean something positive, right? I looked it up. Kuro's right about it being a dual-meaning word. It just depends on how it's used, apparently. Since we weren't having a conversation, there would be no true way to figure out if it meant beautiful or clean/neat without looking at the choices next to it. Japanese is not like English. It's more of a puzzle to put together while listening than a straight line from beginning to end. Apparently the more logical of the meanings is the one that is understood by the listener. I for one can see it would more logically mean clean/neat rather than beautiful, but it's understandable if anyone gets messed up with it not being their native language.

lol I never said it had to mean "Detectives should be organized." I mean seriously, I've got one that says "Iie, baka!" (No, idiot!) instead of whatever is Japanese for "No, we should be messy!"
