Which edition of the films do you prefer and why?

The extended, because of the extra scenes. They do show more. I understand why the movies were pared down for the cinemas, but still. If I can sit there for three hours, I can sit there for three and a half.

My Family has the theatrical, but I wish we had to the extended. T.T

Extended. ^_^ I got the extended DVD set of Return of the King for Christmas. biggrin I like the extra scenes.

I perfer the extended editions. more of the movie is put in that was in the book and not in the theatricalversion. biggrin

Evelyn Eastbrook Extended. ^_^ I got the extended DVD set of Return of the King for Christmas. biggrin I like the extra scenes. Why did they cut out the mouth of Sauron from the theatrical? it was hardcore. also, it wasent that long etiher. hm. oh wells.

Extended, for obvious reasons. Makes the theatrical look totally butchered...

i've known nothing but the extended versions but if i saw the regular i'd probably not like it
