so, what do you guys think of the new RIG? so far, i only like a couple of the items, and even fewer i'd be willing to save up for. i splurged and got the Frigid Sprite though XD because a) it would go well with my mule, and b) the description is "Hey! Listen!" rofl i'm a bit of a Zelda fangirl at heart.

anyway, discuss away! (hm, i unintentionally rhymed...)

Items I really want:

- Sweet Porridge
- Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy (Just because it's purple =P)

Items I want but for the price...ummm:
- Winterland Snowflake (It's cute but 20k?)
- Winterland Snowball


Items I like a couple poses of/Might be able to make an outfit from:
- Prince of Thieves (Cape and scarf pose)
- Puss in Kamik (Some poses I might use, but not something I would particularly love)
- Nutcracker Prince (Maybe the cape looking thing)
- Lord Wilhelm

These really are starting to piss me off. |: Way to get new items or not (and some of these could just as easily be combined to make an MC or even an EI...) this is getting ridiculous. I will never be able to clear out my wishlist either at this rate.

The items are really nice-looking, but, well, wasn't it only three or four weeks ago where we had a new rig? When was the last time we had a full shops overhaul? These just get expensive quickly and stay expensive because they're out of the Cash Shop so quickly. I barely even look at 'em anymore because there's no way I can get 'em.

I'm with Chi. There's no way to keep up, plus, I wish Gaia put this much time and effort into their MCs.

And I agree with Chim-chan too! My wishlist keeps growing and growing... I think they want it that way so people will spend more money. Boo.

@Hisa: I know from a reliable source that the gold shops are scheduled to have 9 updates a year. I believe the last store update was the last one for this year (I think, at least). Since there /are/ 9 a year, it's approximately 1 month and 3 weeks between each update if they space them out evenly, but then they don't space them out like that, they just update them whenever they're done. But yes, there are 9 updates to the stores each year. There won't be any less, but there might be more. -shrugs-

The cash shop this year has been updated just as much as the stores have (not including rigs or the aquariums). I have information on this somewhere... I'll go find it later. xP


I would also like to point out that most of these items would not have even been thought of if it weren't for the rigs in the first place. With MCs, the artists have limitations, and they only have 2 items to put out. What would happen to the other 10 items in a rig that people would have liked? Scrapped and never touched again. I've seen sketches of past MCs from way back in 04' that would've made an /awesome/ MC, even to today's standards. But they have not been touched again, and they will never become an item, most likely.

With EIs, well, those can take months and months, and they will have erratic evolving patterns due to artists' real life problems, other Gaia work, etc. Plus, EIs are a living item of sorts. The original plan may be derailed a bit by ideas later on down the road. Plus, who's to say that a few items that should go together in an EI was from the same artist? I mean, EIs are only one artist (with the exception of the Nightmare) doing them, and I know several items made by different artists that would make a good EI. It just won't happen that way logically.

Not that I don't find these rigs annoying. Coming out every 4 weeks or so, that is. If there was a longer wait between rigs, I'd actually enjoy them more. -nods-
