You should make some sushi! So much cheaper. I've done it, but only with smoked, canned, or cooked fish, as I don't trust it raw if I'm doing it myself. look online for ingredients you can use. I found that yam tempura (which is so easy mode: deep fried yam strips in a simple flour and water batter) worked out awesome for me. You can pick up some wasabi powder or paste for not too much, and it goes good with lots of stuff anyway. Otherwise, pickled ginger if you want, some fish stuffs (I just caught my own XP), rice, and various vegetables are all you're looking at. Apparently takes some skill to roll it well, but you can figure it out. And even if you don't manage to make it look good, it'll still taste great 3nodding

I went to this place in New West a few weeks ago that made the best tempura everrrrrr. Light batter = win! Plus super good smoked salmon rolls. I probably couldn't afford to make it myself though, damn fish is soooo expensive here. sweatdrop

i would love to make my own sushi..... i would love to own a sushi making kit aswell.... hmmm... i wonder how much one of those kits cost? i wonder if they are at wallmart? lol ive thought about making sushi but i never know what all the different veggies are that most sushi has.... really havent had the time to do the research myself.. i know cucumber is in it... and i think carrot at times... other than that i am not sure.... i need to learn the sushi ways...

Julienned carrot, cucumber, radish, avocado, and yam are all common vegetable ingredients. Other stuff like asparagus is used sometimes as well. Just toss in whatever you like 3nodding
Sticky rice is just short grain rice cooked normally, then mixed up with a bit of vinegar to get it to stick together. Veggies, rice, fish, and your seaweed wrap are all you need! Spread rice on wrap, lay out your inside stuffs, use a tea towel to roll it up, and then cut it into sushi pieces. Wasabi, soy sauce, and pickled ginger served as condiments. 3nodding
