uh you really seem to be missing the point of the analogy.
Christianity:Catholic::Neo-Pagan:Wicca.
No I get that, I'm just saying it's a bad analogy and that:
Christianity:Mormonism: :Neo-Pagan:Wicca would be more fitting unless you think that Wicca is what other neo-pagan traditions stem from.
Well if Mormons have a priesthood and ritual for initiation into a Mormon priesthood then yeah go for it. But as far as I'm aware there's no priesthood within the Mormon sect. Also many of the books out there on Neo-pagan religions will call themselves "Wicca" to make sales.
It's structure is Hierarchical, quick blurb from wiki:
The LDS Church is organized in a hierarchical priesthood structure administered by men. Mormons believe that Jesus leads the church through revelation and has chosen a single man, called "the Prophet" or President of the Church, as his spokesman on the earth. The current president is Thomas S. Monson. He and two counselors (who usually are ordained apostles) form the First Presidency, the presiding body of the church; twelve other apostles form the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.[70] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Church_of_Jesus_Christ_of_Latter-day_Saints#Church_organization_and_structure
Many of those other books describe Wicca. At least in the same way as a religious book on the Baptist Church for example describes Christianity. Religious paths will and do evolve, or devolve depending on which term works best for you.
