Defense rings would be ones like the Turtle, Ghost, Teflon, etc. ring. Any type of ring that makes the monsters miss on attacks.

Yeah....I logged into zOMG for the first time in 6 months. Looked at my rings, and immediately logged back out.

Once you beat the final boss, there's really nothing left except badges, and who wants to spend hours killing the same beasts over and over?

plus, other games are more fun anyway ninja
