((No worries, I've done that before.))
"Right..." the dragonet murmured, looking down and fidgeting with the pale blue fur at the tip of his tail. He was about to turn away from Nava to go find a room he wanted, but stopped when he heard her call Kazuya's name. Mel glanced around, then huffed at the irony. "Well whataya know? He did it before I did." The dragonet was a bit surprised to find he'd been outdone by the human. He was certain that Kazuya would be on Nava's side when he made a break for it, but the wizard was actually the first one out the door.

~{Navashuryn Arhen}~Nava felt a little hurt; she hadn't thought that Kazuya would have left her like that, after all. It wasn't the money that she had spent to get him that hurt; she had more than enough of that, and could easily buy another. It was just that it seemed that everyone always left her, one way or another. The only one who hadn't was Rorin, who gave her neck a gentle squeeze of comfort at that moment. "Don't feel sad, Nava. He didn't belong here, anyways," the pipefox said to his mistress, trying to make her feel better.
The wood elf sniffed softly, lifting her hand and gently stroked him, then said out loud, "I suppose you are right, Rorin. It just wasn't where he wanted to be... I wish him luck and happiness, wherever he has gone."
She turned her attention back to the dragonet just in time to here his comment about the wizard leaving before he did, and stopped in her tracks. "Do... you not want to be here, either, Mel?" she asked with a slightly trembling voice, almost in tears, and Rorin growled protectively, not liking that his mistress was upset about such things. Did nobody want to be near her? Was she that undesirable to be around?

Mel kept his eyes on the door a moment longer, then looked at Nava when he realized she was speaking. He blinked, clearly disconcerted at how upset the wood elf was, then frowned slightly. The dragonet glanced to the door and told her truthfully, "I want to go home. I don't want to be anywhere except there right now." He didn't try to shy away from her in case she actually started crying, but he shrugged a little helplessly. He'd been dead-set on getting back to his mother and sister, but being asked had made him wonder how he would do so anyway. The dragonet had no idea where he was, or where home was, and he was rather defenseless as far as dragons went at this age. "I can't help it," he murmured almost absently, "I need my mom." Looking back at her directly, a confused look crossed Mel's face. "Why do you care? I thought I was just a purchase, right?"

~{Navashuryn Arhen}~Navashuryn blinked slightly at the young dragon, then shook her head slightly at herself. "I keep on forgetting that you are a young dragon," she said with a soft smile, "Of course you need your mother. I, more than anyone, should know how it feels to be separated from one's family."
She got a sad look on her face for a few moments before she shook her head as if to wipe away a memory. "Forgive me for my moment of selfishness there," she added honestly, "I guess I've been alone for too long." At that, Rorin rose up and squeaked at her, causing her to laugh. Reaching over and petting the pipefox, she said, "I know, I know. I have you, Rorin."
Looking at Melusine again, she said, "You are far from just a purchase to me, Mel. I bought you because I was in need of a bodyguard. Rorin does his best, but he is also young and needs time to go play, and there has been a rise in attempts to capture me lately. I wood elf is a mighty prize for slavers, after all. Beside that, though, I would like to be your friend, if you'll let me."
Nava went silent for a few moments, thinking quickly, then snapped her fingers as something came to her. "How about this?" she started gently with her preposition, "I'll help you as best as I can to find your home and family. I have many resources at my disposal. I don't know when I'll find them, but until I do, you can stay here. You don't have to, but I think it would be a lot more enjoyable than wandering out there alone."
