I get inspired when I hang out with other writers. Us writers are intellectuals, so you come away with some deep and meaningful conversations. I'm not talking about writers online though, except for the few rare exceptions (there are a few people in this guild I won't mind hanging out with in real life, but the WF is filled with n00bs, lol). My best online friend is a graduate student who TAs and I talk with a few other writers.
In my social life, though, I try to surround myself with writers. My brother, for instance, although he's more into film and comedy. When I did NaNoWriMo the biggest inspiration I was going to the weekly meeting were we just hanged in a coffee shop and typed. It's great to be surrounded by people who think like you, they can give your insight into yourself.

You are very lucky. The only other writers I know are online. An ex of mine used to write and we didn't used to speak much about anything else apart from our current stories. It wasn't interllectual but it was a few years ago so...
However, I'm hoping that will change! My Beta is really handy to bounce ideas off and she comes up with things I haven't though of! Again, online though.
