Dreadmoor
In the centre of the largest marsh on the Anorock continent, lies this despicable centre of archaic power. Dreadmoor once challenged the Oakvale elves for supremacy in the south western section of the Southern subcontinent, until the ruling magocracy fell into ruins at the hands of an ambitious necromancer, who believed himself able to bring the Oakvale to their knees. He lost ever battle he fought since his coup de grace against the magocracy and quickly brought the nation into ruin. The country seemed to never recover from the disaster, and it is believed that several devils or demons have turned this area into a personal playground. This nation is left on its own, as the UADC believed that interfering in its internal affairs would only cause a war to break out, as the people of Dreadmoor enjoyed their freedom more than any other right. The marshlands are home to many gobliniod races, including orcs and gremlins. There are a few human settlements within, but these settlements still live within a feudal society and maintain their feudal traditions. They have not yet reached the gunpowder age, and do not adventure far beyond the marshes. Several patrols stalk the outskirts of the marshlands to keep any mischievous Dreadmoor from raiding into the surrounding plains. Both Oakvale and the UADC have units in the area, with the Oakvale holding the command over operations. The Dreadmoor is commonly called the HelMarsh.

Allied Nations Greatest Superhero Team, ANGST
Drastic times calls for drastic measures. ANGST is the worlds response to the growing number of threats from terrorist factions and anti-peace movements and unions, not to mention the countless number of villains risign from the ashes of the world to try and destory or conquor everything. This squad calls upon each nation to send its greatest champions to the central battleship Highwind VII, to deture or stop any attempts to undo the world as it now stands.
Very little is known about its membership, as they wish to remain unnominaus. It is rumoured that this squad is both a saviour and a curse. The team members have the unwilling side effect of attracting most of the females in what ever area they are sent to.
It is rumoured that the leader of this team is named Cloud Strife, but other potentials include the legendary Squall Leonheart, and some boy named Riku.

Demi-Human settlement:
Twilight is from a rather diverse Demi-human settlement in the a mountianed area near Anonor. the demi-human population is definately animal hybrid oriented. Kitsune types, angelic/demonic type, and were-types. (angelic/demonic are bird/bat related, as opposed to actual deity relations) This settlement is feudal in nature, several 'clans' usually divided by appearance. winged type, wolf type, cat type, ect.
It is ruled by a council, one representative from teh most powerful clans, and usually one or more of the Masters. the council debates issues as they see fit, and they meet at a summit of one of the smaller mountains.
the masters are masters in various types of weapon/martial combat. Twilight is the Master in polearms/bo staff. Drake is the sword master. two other masters, unknown to the general population, are for dagger weapons and hand to hand combat. They train those who come to them for training, and do not select students on thier own. the idea of selecting students is seen as useless, adn those that really want to learn will seek out a master, not the other way around.
Twilight has not had a student in a very long time, which explains his free time. Twilight simply thinks that potential students are too enthralled with swords and such to care, others think his facial decoration and overly serious attitude dissuades students.
the common proffessions in this settlement are samurai and ninja types. very rarely will you see anything else, though more and more are leaving to pursue other careers in the citys.
Recent attacks and 'terrorist' actions in Anonor have been at this settlements hands. allegedly, local human authorities have been corrupt and lack luster in dealing with the demi-human's legal problems with city folk. Judge Sephiroth was dispactched to assertain any truth to these allegations.
