fall seson has come to an end sad
but! my school(grace m. davis high school) went undefeted!.....until pre-lims and finals T.T... biggrin geting ubber high score for a lil A band biggrin
like our 95! in down stairs vis biggrin DDD whoot!

We're Milan... Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas fear us.
We got Grand Champion at our first competition, and did pretty well at every other, placing 1st in our class and placing in the top 5 at every one except Bandmasters in Memphis and Div.2 State in Murfreesboro.
We ended up 9th in Finals at State, and it was a wonderful season. Our seniors were so happy.

Our season was pretty good.
We got a superior at the first festival of the year and for the first time in 20 years at that particular festival, though we were quite disappointed when our score lowered for all the others, even though we continued to get better and better. We got an excellent at state, which disapointed us greatly, but we were in the top 10, which meant we got to go to the first ever state finals, which made us pretty happy. State finals was the only one we went to that was ranked, not rated(Or 1-10, not fair-superior) We expected a score somewhere above 5th, but we only made 8th.
Afterwords we stopped at a mall to have lunch at the food court, and before we went in our bd had a little pep talk with us(because we were pretty disapointed). The one thing that really stuck out to me was what he had been doing between the time we left the competition to the time we stopped at the mall. He had been figuring out with a few band parents how many total bands were in our state, in our division. He came up to something around 70. Which eans we are 8th out of all 70. Way better then 8 out of 10. And then we were all surprised when a division 1 band, who is amazing(I put their show in the youtube thread in marching, if you want to see it.) only got 9th place.

Our season was really something. See at first, we were absolutely terrible, the first couple competitions we got scores in the 60's [we're a AAA band] the next few competitions we got in the 66 area so thats a bit better. Then, on our final performance, something magical happened. We heard the announcer say, "Basic High School..With a rating of Superior!" And with a rating like that, thats like an automatic ticket to finals. So we performed in finals and got a 72 ! :] Great season.

Our championships are this weekend!!! Im so excited!!! We perform last which is a great spot!!!
Hopefully *karma kap* we metal this year!!! Go Redlands East Valley!!
