Ooc| Oh, whoops! I just skimmed over your original posts... sorry...
Bic| "Ah, yes, I understand," Rajah said. "So silly of me... Portugal is not exactly Rhode Island, is it?" she giggled. "I'm afriad I don't speak Portugese, or at least enough to carry on a conversation. I can say, like, 'hello' and 'goodbye' and 'Do you speak English?', but that's about it." Once again her mind drifted off to those distant memories of Portugal and Baeli, this time of Baeli trying to teach her Portugese. It had been a very hot and dry day, so thus Rajah and her cousins were all stuck inside. After playing what seemed like the millionth round of Hide-and-Go-Seek, the children had given up on playing games and wandered off by themselves. Baeli had decided that this would be the perfect time to be become Rajah's tutor and teach her everything there was to know about Portugal. So, to begin this, she had to teach Rajah Portugese. It had been very hilarious, with endless mispronunciations and mixing up of words. In the end they had given up on the whole deal and just read books, Rajah's in English and Baeli's in Portugese.
"Max and I, we are going to find the dining hall when the ship lands soon. I wonder what kinds of food they eat, the reptilian people? Treachus," Feli said.
"Oh! Oh, yes, I understand. I think I will find the bedrooms first, and settle in... perhaps I shall see you later?" Rajah smiled, happy for possibly making friends in her new school. She stood up as the bus slowly settled to a stop, gathering her bags and making sure she had her bow and arrows. "Goodbye! Oh, um... I'm afraid I didn't catch your name," she said, looking at the boy who had been sitting in between her and Feli.

[ah, it's really no problem XD ps. this'll be a short post because i'm tired.]
Feli giggled at Rajah's comparison; she didn't know much about the geography of the United States, but she remembered vaguely that Rhode Island was a tiny country (or state - whatever Americans called those things) on one of the coasts. Her face fell fractionally when Rajah explained that she barely knew any Portuguese, because she'd been hoping for someone to speak to in her native tongue, but she was happy enough to have made another friend. "The more beautiful language is Portuguese," she sighed, a strange smile on her face.
She was glad that Rajah managed to be so exceedingly accommodating, because she wasn't sure if she could keep up with two native English speakers at once. "Yes! I will be talking with you later," Feli chirped, excited. Rajah actually wanted to see her again! This was turning out to be a great day for making friends. Rajah called out to Max as he was leaving, and Feli frowned when he didn't turn back or respond, but she figured that he probably couldn't hear the smaller girl. "I think he is very hungry," she laughed to Rajah. "That is Max; he is from France!" She collected her old knapsack and the rest of her belongings together into her arms. "It was very nice to be meeting you, Rajah," she smiled warmly as she walked toward the airship's exit after Max, waving to Rajah as she departed. She'd let him lead the way to the dining hall, as she probably would get the pair of them terribly lost.

Luckily for Caspian Levesque-Azoulay, he'd overheard two giggling female underclassmen discussing the holiday event before it was too late. He forgot about dropping his suitcase off at the dorms and nearly yelled at them as he asked urgently where the airship was waiting for students. Sprinting in the direction they'd pointed with trembling fingers, Cas was relieved to make it just before the airship prepared to leave, and he found a seat to himself across the aisle from a boy with a French accent and two girls, one of which seemed to be having trouble speaking proper English. He stowed his suitcase under the seat and curled up into his favourite traveling position - with his legs folded up at his sides - and leaned his head against the cool windowpane, restless from the many hours of travel he'd already had that day. He was full of nervous energy and couldn't help tapping his fingers and humming quietly to himself as he waited to land on another planet. He'd known when he heard the two girls discussing the trip that he had to go; this opportunity was incredible, and would not have been available to him had he still been a circus contortionist. What an amazing school, that their idea of a holiday trip involved flying to another planet!
At length, he became bored and contented himself with surreptitiously watching the trio across the aisle; he determined that none of them presented any significant threat to him, and began to relax, hoping that perhaps one of them might notice him and wish to introduce themselves. No such luck, though; the airship landed on the alien planet and the three of them were still chattering away together. Then the French boy and the girl with the heavy accent got up and walked away, with the latter expressing her goodbyes as she left. The girl that was left appeared to be by herself, so Cas decided to make the best of his chance. He untwisted himself from the seat and stood, clutching his tattered suitcase and stretching to his full five foot three inches (on a good day). He noted gladly that the girl was shorter than himself, and he approached her cheerfully, pushing back the sleeves of his worn grey sweater to offer a handshake as he introduced himself. "Hello, I'm Ca...uh, Cas. Well, really Caspian, but please call me Cas." He did his best to smile in a friendly manner (which probably wasn't as hard as he imagined because of his kind grey eyes and easy grin).

Rajah eyed the boy, this "Cas", with a look of surprise and uncertainty that showed through more than she had hoped it would. It was... a guy. And he was talking to her. For a moment, she forgot how to speak, but finally said, "Um... hi. I'm Rajah." She pulled her hand out of her pocket to return the handshake, not realizing it was trembling slightly. With her free hand, she instinctively fingered the bow strapped to her back, although she knew that arrows wouldn't be of any help at such close range. Besides, who said this guy was going to attack?
Rajah studied this boy, taking in as many of his features as she could at once. Cas appeared to be human - sigh - and was almost as thin as she was. He was taller than her, but not by much, unlike most people she had met at this school. (A grand total of three!) His eyes were very friendly, though, and his blond hair fell into is face just so; you might even say he was pretty atractive. After studying him for a while, Rajah realized she was being rude, and stammered, "Ah... um... well, I don't really have a nickname. You can just call me Rajah." She managed a small smile that probably looked more like a grimace. At all of the other schools she had gone to, Rajah had been a social outcast and hadn't had much chance to make any friends; she wasn't all that used to this.

Cas grinned when he noticed the girl looking at him strangely, and sought to eliminate her uncertainty in the only way he knew how: by being incredibly forthright. "I'd like to be your friend," he told her earnestly. "I've never really had one." His time at the circus had taught him not to mince his words, because one day you stuttered over an apology or a confession, and the next day that person was gone and you never had the chance to say what you needed. People disappeared every day from the circus, but the ones who stayed around were the people who became your family, and you traveled together, ate together, froze together, and starved together. His sharp blue-grey eyes didn't miss Rajah reaching for the bow on her back, and as he shook her hand firmly (but gently - she trembled and he didn't want to scare her), he noted, "You won't be needing that." Although slightly proud that he might look dangerous despite his short stature, Cas hated to upset people without reason. He released her hand carefully and waited for her to finish inspecting him, assuming that she was scanning his body for concealed weapons (which he was confident she wouldn't be able to detect, anyhow).
"That's fine," he responded calmly to her embarrassment regarding her lack of a nickname. "They don't much come in handy anyway." Privately he wondered what act she would have been in the circus, but decided he probably wouldn't be doing her a great service to dwell upon it. It was a secret game he played with himself, guessing people's talents and what they might have excelled at in the freakshow, and one that he wouldn't dare share with anyone in the beyond. It was too telling of his attachment to the circus - which he knew was too strong for him to stay a part of the outside forever - and would out him as a freak (if his behaviour didn't first).
Cas ventured to speak again, afraid she might lose interest in being his friend. "Ah...d'you know anything about this planet? I just got here, so I'm not really sure what this trip is about, but I'm hoping to learn much about their culture~"

Rajah nearly giggled, realizing that he was probably as uncomfortable as she was. When he remarked, "I'd like to be your friend. I've never really had one." Rajah was taken aback. "Oh! Um... oh! Yeah... it's... it's pretty much the same with me," she stuttered, swearing under her breath in Portuguese at her shyness. That had been the one bit of the language she had been able to retain from Baeli's "lessons"; everything else had seemed to go in one ear and out the other. "I'm a bit of a social outcast... long story, I'm sure you don't want to hear it." Of course, that wasn't true, the 'him not wanting to hear it' part. Of course he would want to know about Rajah being Eruthian! But that didn't mean that Rajah wanted him to know. If she told him, she would lose a good chance at gaining a friend.
"Oh... well, um, I know they're lizard people, and that it's really hot on their planet..." Rajah's voice trailed off, embarrased that she didn't know more. She tugged at the bottom of the bright orange tank she was wearing, regretting not thinking through her outfit choice that morning. The orange top clashed severly with the red boots she wore every day, and the neutral khaki shorts just made the whole outfit worse. To top it all off, her hair was probably a bird's nest from sleeping through the first half of the trip and somehow ending up on the floor in front of her seat. Oh well, she thought. It's too late to do anything about it.

Cas frowned. Rajah was still slightly uncomfortable, and his method hadn't worked. He noticed her swearing under her breath in a strange tongue - it could only be cursing, unless she was muttering about his oddness or stupidity, both of which he doubted, as she seemed kind. It wasn't French or Hebrew, and it certainly wasn't English, so he decided against bringing it up. "Hah...you're a social outcast, eh...try me?" But he remembered her uneasiness, and added offhandedly, "Or not, if you don't want to." He smiled in an attempt to encourage her, but worried that it only looked sinistre - not that he had reason to, because of his round, feminine face. He probably couldn't have looked sinistre if he'd tried.
"Lizard people," Cas repeated. He processed and internalised most information best when he said it aloud. "Hmm." He'd brought his suitcase (albeit by accident) so he'd have clothes to wear if his jeans and sweater got too warm. "That's really interesting," he grinned, his eye caught by Rajah tugging on her orange shirt. He wondered if it was an attempt to hide insecurities, which he thought would be a curious way of showing it. But then, he overthought most things and knew it, so he directed his attention elsewhere. "Do...uh, d'you want to...go somewhere? Maybe meet some lizard people or something?" Cas couldn't help being fascinated by the thought of an alien culture, and was anxious to begin exploring and learning. He speculated about the kind of food they would have to offer, and about the living quarters they used. Although he would have preferred to know more about the lizard people before meeting them, he figured nothing could really surprise him after growing up among circus freaks, so he was probably all set.

Dante walked up the stairs to the airship and looked around. He was wearing sunglasses, a black sports wrist watch, a pair of green Hawaiian boarder shorts, a light blue t-shirt, and a pair of strap sandals. It was his first time on an airship and he tried hard not to look like a kid in a candy store as he looked at the luxurious settings of airship. Dante walked around the airship and took in the sight. This is beautiful. No wounder it costs so much to come to this school. He chuckled a little as he found a seat next to the window and started to think about his first week at Ria.
On arrival, he met a Slayer with a personal vendetta against vampires, a shy women with a huge tiger, and a spunky women who he had to give up his denim jacket. After the little scuffle he left before he got caught up in something he didn't want to be apart of.
Dante let out a sigh and said softly, “I still never got back that jacket.”
The next day he attend his first day of classes. He met his teachers and found that he was a few lessons ahead of the game. His arcane arts teacher suggested that he goes on the school trip to Kasyune. By the time he got back, they should be ready for him. Dante signed up for the trip and a few days later he was enrolled into the one day class. He completed the end of the class test with a perfect score and was given a ticket for the airship. As he went back to his dorm he found a strange gift on his bed. It was a spell book with two spells already in it. One was a basic Inscription spell. The other was a modified version of the Mage armor spell with a note underneath it: “This spell should help you with the plant's atmosphere. Just don't try to cast both spells at the same time unless you know what your doing.” He packed that night and here he was.
Dante looked at his watch and realized that an hour has passed since the ship took off and got up and walked around a little.
((I don't like to just jump from one thing to another without some explantion. Besides this works out find with a school. He was ahead of the game when he got there so we was able to go on the trip. I just don't like things in an rp if they don't fit in somehow.))

((Sorryz for the wait! Choir stuff!))
Rajah finally realized how strange she must have appeared to Cas, straightened up, and smiled. It wasn't a forced smile, she told herself; she was truly happy to be here and to be meeting Cas. Just think of it that way, she thought, and it will be true. She didn't even notice that she was clearing showing her fangs, and if she had, she probably wouldn't have cared. Besides, there were plenty of non-human creatures at Ria, and Rajah wouldn't have been surpised if Cas had been one himself.
"Do... uh, d'you want to... go somewhere? Maybe meet some lizard people or something?" he asked, and Rajah barely waited a moment to answer, "Oh, sure! I heard this place is beautiful, with, like, gardens and stuff. So... how about that? Wanna go to one of the gardens?" Rajah was surprised at how... excited she sounded. Whatever happened to the shy, uncomfortable, demon-possessed Rajah that had been there just a few moments ago? Had she disappeared? Been replaced by someone completely different? Oh, don't worry, said the small voice in the back of her head. She'll be back. But not before before I am... Rajah flinched, but otherwise stayed calm as her demon spoke to her.

As the ship left the final warp gate, Dante could see the planet he would be spending the rest of the year on. As the ship approached Kasyune, Dante tired out the spell he revived before departure. All of a sudden he felt lighter. Shortly after he started to feel the pressure return but watched as others having trouble adjusting to the changes. When the ship landed, Dante walked around helping some people to their feet. After twenty minutes of helping people, he took his first steps on the new planet.

It had been a long, sleepless night. Kira had been kept up by an ever growing confusion over what had taken place on the rooftop. Her new, first friend, had simply... freaked out, snapped at her, and she couldn't figure out why no matter how long she thought over it. In the end, lingering had just made her feel worse. Insomnia reared its ugly head, and when the first sign of light had risen the next morning, she gave up completely. Instead she'd packed, throwing necessary items into a single bag, containing mostly a change of clothes. Hopefully, it would be enough to last, or she'd have a way to wash if she needed it. In any case, trivial thoughts like that distracted from the real issues at hand. And in the end, she'd ended up waiting for a while, sitting on her bed and gazing at the door. He never showed up. She didn't know what time they were supposed to meet, and she was frightened of seeing him again, so eventually she'd decided to venture off on her own. He wasn't coming, so she had no choice but to go on her own! That's what she'd tell herself, anyway.
The girl stepped onto the ship, peering around through deep blue eyes with a look of uncertainty. She was definitely uneasy, but she swallowed hard and entered deeper, avoiding anyone's gaze as she pushed her bag into a storage space and plopped into a seat. Once there, she settled on the oh so very comfortable position of drawing her knees to her chest, resting her chin upon them, and leaning her shoulder into the wall beside her. She'd chosen a window seat, after a bit of nervous hesitation. She wanted to see, even if she was half terrified. Even if that could set her off.
She flinched a little and dropped her head, letting her face bury into her knees. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts... Don't worry, it's totally fine. Nothing's going to happen! She huffed out a long sigh and cast another look around herself. Then there was nothing left to do but wait for the five hour long ride to end.

Cas watched Rajah carefully for any sign of distress. He knew his personality could be too much to deal with, for some people, at least, and he wanted to ensure that he wasn't alienating the first person who'd given him a chance at Ria. He saw her considering him and thrust his shoulders back, stretching to his full height (which really only amounted to sixty three inches, give or take an inch or so) and concentrating on a bit of the airship's wall slightly to the left and behind Rajah. His attempt to create a powerful, striking image failed miserably, and he shared the hopeful vigour of children who enjoy dressing in their parents' clothes. Cas realised how ridiculous he must look, and a grin tugged up the corners of his mouth as he relaxed his stance and released the breath he wasn't aware he'd been holding. Finally Rajah smiled, probably at something she'd been thinking, and she appeared genuine. Cas offered a goofy and only slightly self-deprecating half-grin in response. He noticed a peculiar glint in Rajah's smile and took only a moment to realise that they were long, razorlike teeth. Fangs didn't bother him terribly; he'd spent a lot of time with the tiger tamer and figured that with Rajah it meant that she felt comfortable enough around him and didn't doubt his kindness. Either that, or she was subtly threatening bodily harm, but he doubted the latter. He wondered briefly about her heritage but decided against asking, at least until they talked more.
"Hum...gardens and stuff, hey?" he mused aloud, liking the idea more as he thought about it. He'd never had much time for things like gardens but he secretly loved plants. When he was younger he sometimes would keep little gardens near the main tent, but as he grew he realised that he'd just end up abandoning them when the circus moved on to a new town, and his love for planting withered away (ha, ha). Not that he'd actually been much good at taking care of living things; he often overwatered his flowers until they wilted and shrank back into the earth, or he planted them in a spot either too shady or sunny for the flower's needs. Nonetheless, it had been an enjoyable hobby until his (cynical) realistic tendencies crushed his enthusiasm, and he found the notion of visiting the alien gardens quite entertaining. "Please, let's go, then!" Cas practically beamed with excitement and waited for Rajah to lead the way, barely noticing her flinch. He wondered if his excitement was a little too much, and tried to tone it down, but otherwise didn't think much of her discomfort. Perhaps she would feel more at ease once they arrived at the gardens.

Rajah grinned. "Really? Okay!" She rummaged around in her pack for the map of important areas Kasyune she knew every student had been given at the class. Finally pulling out a crumpled piece of paper, slightly torn in several places, she searched for anything resembling a garden. After looking for a few seconds, she had located several places on the map labelled "Gardens". "Well, we've got quite a few. Let's see... the closest one to where we're landing is... over here." Saying this, Rajah pointed at a green spot near the Day Palace. "We've landed, so I guess we can leave now. Come on!" Rajah was already walking towards the exit, motioning for Cas to follow her.
[lol, it's okay. i'm reallllly impatient. not a good trait for an rper, lol. and i write short posts, so you writing a "sucky" post won't bother me. so, next post at the gardens?]
