It depends. Sometimes I'll change it many times in one day, and I've went through days without changing it at all. I think a week is about the longest I've gone without changing it. Lately I haven't been changing it as much as I usually do since I've been busy with life XD I tend to take a long time when changing my avi since I want it to be perfect, so it can become annoying sometimes.

(*-`ω´- )人 Not very often anymore. Lately I've been pretty happy with my choices.
When I get a new item, of course, I want to change, but that's why I love the new "Outfits" feature.

I used to be an avatar changing addict, but that was when I was super creative and not as picky. Now that the matching has been drilled into my head it's hard for me. I'll stare at an avatar and think "Ughh that red is a little more shiny than the rest of the avatar--no good!" and ditch the whole idea when I can't find something suitable. It's not the thread that has done that to me...I've heard "If you like it than it's great!" so many times (: but myself and my perfectionist tendencies. As in real life, if I can't do something perfectly it's hard for me to do it at all. Recently though, I've kind of stuck to the same outfit (my current) except for the random occasional times when I'll change it due to a new item release or whatever. Whenever I'm completely sick of an avatar but I have absolutely not inspiration or creativity at all I make my avatar completely naked and save it. It's almost like I'm being defiant but I'm not sure who I'm supposed to be defying. Ha (:

One thing I noticed is that I've been making avatars much more frequently. And I've mostly abandoned pure matching. While I still have a logic to most of my avatars (so that they still look pleasing) it isn't really matching anymore.
So I've been changing avatars more than once a day most of the time.

I can only change when I'm on a computer on the weekdays so it can be rather annoying.

A whole new change?
About 4 - 5 times a year. I don't change much 'cause I order art a lot.
With little changes, almost once a month.
Like,
 -->  --> My current.
Once I achieve a goal, I add the item to my avatar. I usually always have a quest.
Which, I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep the star or not. sweatdrop

I make massive changes probably every 2-3 days.
I have avatar indecision frequently.

I am very satisfied with this one. Mostly because my avatar happens to coincide very well with my name (which I have had established years ago before I was really into Gaia), but if there are new items to add, I'm game. I've gone through the whole of available options, so anything I have to change would have to come from a new RIG, which I would be very strongly against anyways. I suppose I'd have to change come major holidays or causes, but otherwise this ain't changing.
I also think there's a difference between 'changing' and 'tweaking' an avatar. I don't think I've changed much at all. I build on what I have, so anything in mind is usually a tweak. If I have a creative surge to the point of total makeover, it's going on Tektek so I don't waste gold on my overly-attentive eye for detail.

I've changed mine almost every day for the past week because I'm participating in the nudity event and only being able to equip one item is boring. >.< It shall be a good day when I can put on a new outfit.

XD I change every few days. I don't chalk it up to indecision though. I wear my current outfit as long as possible until the flaws eat away at me too much. Then the cycle repeats.
^^ That's cool that your avatar fits your username. I've often thought about how I should be making avatars that face backward. I just... wouldn't want to do that 24/7. I'd miss my cute face too much. ;D
o ____o; I would not be able to keep the same avatar for 210 days. Wow. I have mule accounts that haven't changed their outfits in a couple years. That only happens because I rarely log into them though. Their outfits don't get a chance to eat away at me.
Annnddddd I'd never be able to last for two weeks in just bra/underwear/boxers. I'd have to cheat and spend my time dressing up a mule or tekteking avatars to keep my mind off my own. x .x; That's good that they let you guys wear underwear items though and not just default underwear.
I swear I never heard about that event until this year, even though they say it's their 8th one. x .x; Nakie day usually happens each year, but it only lasts for a day or for a weekend. And no one raised any gold. . -. It was just all about forgoing pixel egos and status and all being equal. ...I like the idea of the sponsored nudity event. I think it's not quite the same since it's all about trying to raise gold... but that's good that something good can come out of it. The nakie day always just had two sides of, "I'm going nakie, yay!" or "I'm throwing on as much items as possible because nakie day is stupid." All it did was bring about arguments, not equality.
