Salaura
Sure, Takari you can post that in Team Sprocket. I'd love to hear some extra opinions...and maybe if its good enough we can use it as a hook to get some new members...
so long as somewhere its noted that I got the idea from Cortex...last thing I deed is a lawsuit!

And a maybe idea on Ei's that aren't alive...what if we had those as items?
Like X Ei gives X amount of dice steps to X stat when held by the evomon...
Hmm....Interesting... ninja And you will, don't worry. Lol. wink

I posted it in the guild. 3nodding Only one replied:

What puts me off is the huge amount of thinking you have to do just before you even make your move. Even if this might be easier, I'm still confused. It doesn't help when you have the attention span of a flea though.

Did any of you guys ever play Magic: The Gathering?

I've seen turns that took 20 minutes to do, and this is when a game is supposed to be 20 minutes...

Basically, my question is: does generation matter?

If I've got a first gen Reed is it better than a third gen?

Nope :3

Not really, unless you want to add an insignificant but slightly helpful boost to the generations?

What King Of Ninjas said would be the easiest and most ideal way to handle the fact most EI have more then 10 Evolution stages.

You could say Gen1 would be counted as the first stage of an Evomon.

Then Gen5 would be counted as second stage.

Stage One would only have use of what is in Gen1

While Stage Two would have use of what is in Gen2-5.

Stage Three would use Gen6-10

And so on.

My only question is, would the base the battle system Evomon VS Evomon.

Stat VS Stat.

If so, then most would search the Evomon listing for something that held high Stat or over powered in one Stat.

You could play with the idea of using 'Moves', like in Pokemon and such.

Bump; the most basic of attacks, only deals 50% of AT
Glomp; a more advanced attack with the chance of recoil. Deals 100% AT but has recoil AT of 25%
OMGWTF; A move purely to stun your enemies to miss two turns, has a 50/50 chance to be ignored.
Taunt; You've already pissed it off by trying to fight it, you want to piss it off more? What the hell man, seriously..

But those are just basic attacks.

Evomon's would have their own personal attacks aswell.

EG1; Death Whisper uses consumption.
This removes XX amounts of health points from [Evomon]
And heals Death Whisper XX% amount of points and taunts; "Your life is mine... as is your health.."

EG2; The Experiment uses Embrace
This causes [Evomon] to freeze in utter fear for two moves.
[Evomon] is unable to attack since The Experiment has wrapped its filthy body around [Evomon], [Evomon] shouts; "OH GOD ITS TOUCHING THE BACK OF MY KNEES!"

As for what each move does in damage could be done using the 'Stats.

A simple calculation would make it easy to see what damage you'd cause against the defense you'd have to break through first.

Say..
Fremere's Guard
150HP 100AT 50DF 50SP

Gimpi
400HP 50AT 10DF 10SP

Using those stats, you work out Fremere's Guard goes first.

Fremere's Guard uses Bump.
Bump uses 50% of AT, so it does 100x50% = 50AP[Attack Points]
10 is blocked by Gimpi def, so only 40 goes through.

Next Gimpi can take his turn.
Gimpi uses Glomp.
Glomp uses 100% of attack with 25% recoil.
Gimpi attacks with 50AP but Fremere's Guard blocks all of it with his 50DF.
Gimpi also gets 50x25% of that attack redirected at him.
Thats 12.5. round that up since its 0.5 and not 0.4, giving Gimpi an added 13AT to his HP.

By the ending of round 1.
Fremere's Guard
150HP 100AT 50DF 50SP

Gimpi
347HP 50AT 10DF 10SP

Geeze. That's more confusing than the one Salaura posted. User Image Maybe more complicated. I've never played Magick nor D&D. xp
