"Yeah!" Raine grinned over at Nina, "Does that mean that I should be watchin' ya, to make sure that I still get two baskets home full of berries?" Her tail wagged playfully as she poked the teen's shoulder. Though she really wanted to grab a few more to eat as well...which she did reach out and pop one last one from a bush into her mouth.
"We need to get back quick, if ya want to surprise Blake with the cobbler." Raine nodded and looked around quickly. "We can pretend we're chasin' prey." She smiled and waved for Nina to dart after her. "It'll be fun and good training. Jus' don't spill the berries now!" With that she was off, darting under tree limbs and jumping over twigs and bushes.

Nina waved her hand dismissively. These berries were safe in her basket as she followed suit and picked a couple berries from a passing bush.
Her eyes lit up at Raine's suggestion. Chasing prey... Prey that was heading unknowingly back to the house, where it would be caught. Or, maybe it wouldn't. The thrill was enough to get her running, holding the basket tightly in her hand as she chased after Raine with an excited holler, keeping the pastel female in her sight as much as possible.

Raine smiled in excitement as they raced through the woods. Every breath, every step made her remember the thrill of pack hunts. The holler from Nina just made things even better and Raine let out a playful howl as she ripped through the last foliage and into the clearing where the house was.
Except she almost didn't stop. The house wasn't in her focus only the woods. But then Raine blinked and cleared her head while she spun back around to grin at Nina. "Did you catch it?" She asked with a small laugh.

Nina grinned confidently at Raine when they reached the house, scooping a few berries from her basket and holding them up in a toasting fashion. "Of course I did. Would you expect anything less?" She chuckled, tossing the fruits into her mouth victoriously. "Now, if you caught your own prey, it's time to make some cobbler!"

Raine laughed before giving a playful bow to Nina, "How could I forget? You be the great mistress of the hunt. That poor prey." Raine nodded and headed into the house. Ah, her next to favorite thing - cooking.
Placing her basket on the table, Raine looked over her shoulder. "Care to clean the berries, Nina? I'll grab the rest of the ingredients." She looked thoughtful. Now where had she put the flour? And the sugar? Oh! Reaching into the cabinets Raine shuffled through supplies and hesitated over some cinnamon. "Nina, would you or Blake want cinnamon in this one?"

Nina smirked bashfully, though had to admit to herself that she liked the sound of the title. The Great Mistress of the Hunt! Capital letters! She grinned to herself, carrying the baskets over to the cleaning end of the small kitchen silently. She scooped a few ladles of water into a wide pan, then dumped in the berries, swishing them around. Since she had only used it to rinse the berries, she dumped the water into a bucket set under the counter to use in the garden to save a trip to the small river that always felt like a small hike to come back from with full water jugs.
“Hmm.. I think cinnamon would be good this time. We didn’t have it last time, if I remember right.” She looked off to the side, then back at Raine. “Is that bit of cream left over from the soup still in the cellar?” If it was, a dab of whipped cream might be in order. Though, she would have to force Raine to make it. Nina remembered her last attempt... too much whip, not enough cream... More like goo...

"Alright, cinnamon it is then." Raine pulled out that along with several other ingredients. "Cream?" She asked as she got down and started to sort things out on the table, "I believe so. I can go check for it while I go gather the rest of the things we'll need."
Raine grinned, "So if there's no other requests I'll head down right now." Picking up a small basket she added, "If you would Nina. The dish for cooking the cobbler is somewhere in here. Just a round heavy dish - you know the one." Raine paused thoughtfully before shaking her head and heading out of the kitchen.

Nina shook her head. "That's it for now." She smirked, sifting through to cupboards for the cobbler dish. Minutes later, she had about given up hope. It had to be around here somewhere! She stuck her chin out in a growl. It had to be.
Finally, success! She pulled it out from a deep, dark corner, wrinkling her nose at the dust that came with it. Had it been so long since its last use? How sad. She looked at the water bucket, looked at the dirty pan and frowned. It wouldn't fit, and pouring it would only make a mess. Blowing the loose dust off the pan she gave the door that Raine had vanished through a quick look, and in a few swift movements pulled off her shirt, soaked it in the clean water, wiped down the pan, wrung the shirt over the dirty water and pulled it back on. Smirking at her cleverness, she picked a few remaining dirty bits from the pan and set it on the table.

"Aye." With that Raine disappeared down the steps and into the cool cellar. Shivering the wolf started to search through the shelves for the ingredients that she needed. Stacking her arms full of things, Raine's ears twitched back as she remembered something.
The cream!
Oh, Nina definitely wouldn't forgive her if she forgot it. Nodding Raine wobbled over to another part of the cellar and somehow managed to stack the bowl of cream on top of her pile. Humming she started back up the steps and dropped the load loudly on the table. "Jeesh." She mumbled before grinning up at Nina, "Think I got enough?"

Giggling at the armful, Nina started to help sort it out. "Maybe. We'll find out if it's enough when we start putting the pieces together." She grabbed the cream and set it off to the side first. They would whip it right before sitting down to dinner to make sure it would be fresh and fluffy for dessert. Then she pulled to cobbler pan over. "I love dessert. I don't think we have it enough."
