I've been debating with myself as to if I should tell my parents about my..issue.. The only thing preventing me from doing so is that my dad absolutely hates same sex couples. My mom... She says she isn't homophobic and stuffs, but deep down she has a resentment for 'em. They still believe I like guys and to tell them that I could very well could be les will be a shocker for them. What's your opinion? Should I tell them? If yes, how should I tell them?

IF I had the option, I would click the maybe button. I feel that it is a delicate subject that should be handled very... delicately. I think that some time after the thanksgiving holiday you should sit them down and have an adult discussion about your choice. Tell them that you are who you are and they can't change that. If they are anything of real parents, they will love you no matter what because you are their child.

it's kind of a thing you have to decide on your own, you know your parents, we don't.
i didn't think my mom would be okay with me being gay, but she is...in a way.

*sigh* This is a very difficult subject for me. I'm already considered broken due to my depression and possible bipolar disorder, so for me to say, "Hey, Mom, Dad, I like girls" would only make them look at me differently. My mom still doesn't believe me when I tell her I have depression problems, so I have no idea if she'll believe I'm gay or not. Odds are she won't. My dad is already acting weird around me and the last thing I'd like to happen is him resenting me. Come to think of it, he's always acted weird around my sister and I...
