"One way indeed." He murmured to himself at her first comment. He shook his head a little bit.
Lorcan could agree with her there. She was indeed stronger then she looked. Least, he assumed so by her survival rate. Ah, but it seems she was a tad mistaken. "Ah but survival, well that is well and good but the loneliness. Of course, As I said, I have not been here a long while so, well, perhaps there are so many horses around that one doesn't get lonely, even while traveling alone. Or, perhaps its like my old home, finding other loners is few and far between, leaving for some vary, vary lonely days." He said. "The only ones I have ever met who were not affected by loneliness were rather cold, pardon me, bastards." And while the mare did not seem like the friendliest of sorts, she was no b*****d, he was certain. But, of course, he did not voice this part. "Have you met many friends?" He questioned.

As he spoke she couldn't help but realize that yes she had been lonely, but really hadn't noticed it until she ran into this stallion. She had met a few horses here and there, but nothing more than a quick encounter before parting ways again. She sighed and for no more than a split second her face showed a bit of sadness but then it went back to her normal happy face.
"Well yes, it does get lonely. I have met a few horses here and there but that's about it." She paused for a moment collecting her thoughts. "I suppose in a way I have been avoiding the herds because I don't want to get involved with horses that remind me of the herd I left." Ears swiveled a bit before continuing. "Friends? Well I'm not sure if the horses I have previously met can be called friends. Perhaps one or two of them yes, but not all."

The change was fast, and he didn't quite register the look, but what he said affected her, somehow. She didn't seem particularly upset and, as she spoke, he confirmed this in his mind. Was she saddened by the thought of being lonely? Or insulted by his b*****d comment? No, she admitted she was lonely at times, sad then, it must be. Otherwise...well he was sure he'd be kicked. Ah but he had tough skin...he hoped.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to bring up any negative feelings." He said, his voice calm and a tad remorseful. "Really. And yes, that certainly makes sense. I suppose I am the opposite in a way. I am not actively searching for others, but, well when I find another, I seem to kinda move towards them. Since my herd was someplace that I enjoyed, being alone, while rather refreshing, is unusual and slightly...well frightening. I'd like to find a herd in the long run but at he moment, I am a bit like you. Just...off to see." He chuckled a bit at her friends comment. "Sorry, It seems we have a diffrent meaning of the word. I simply meant others you have run into, weather or not you consider them a true friend." He explained. "Have you run into many others, was what I was trying to say."

"Don't worry about it." She told him after he apologized. "A herd in the long run would be a good idea. I too will look for one in the near future. After all I have been on my own for a long time now and as you said being along is hard. Eventually I will need a herd...or at least some other horses around."
Her eyes moved to the sky for a moment. The sun was well on its way towards the horizon. Oh my, how long had they been talking. Returning her gaze to Lorcan she spoke again. "Well I do hate to bring this conversation to an end but it appears that it will be dark soon. We really should move to the shelter of the trees at least." Being out in the open at night, especially while alone was not a good idea.

Lorcan followed her gaze. Had they been talking that long? "Yes, I think your right. I should be on my way." He said. "It's been nice talking to you, Faerin. Thank you for the insight." Her information was rather valuable, and he knew it would come in handy. Stepping back he lowered his head in a bow. "Take care of yourself." He smiled and began to move in another direction. He had a bit more he wanted to see under the moonlight. He glanced back once more before he hurried off.
