This evening I was in Rally just after they had fixed the scriptor issue when a guy comes up to me and offers to buy my avatar's glasses. First he offered 5k and then 7k. I was puzzled, 5k? For the Verizon glasses? So I checked the Marketplace and discovered the glasses are going for 10k. Wow.
So my fellow addicts I'm wondering if there are any other items that have surprised you in terms of price? Stuff that a few months ago would have seen the bottom of your avatar's trash bin. smile

And those MTV jeans I got with 3k.
Some event items maybe too... but nothing so surprising like those glasses you got o.O

Probably artificial inflation. IT may have been 100k for a short time due to a market manipulation, but never went all the way back down.

AI is running rampant lately. Someone has been trying to inflate Water Meats for "Clementine Day."

Hmmm...I don't think it is AI with the glasses. Looking at the graphs on both Gaia and Tek-tek there is a slow but steady rise with minor spike in the beginning of Nov.
As for the watermeats I know they are being AIed 'cause a few people in the GCD have stated they are buying as many cheap ones as they can for Tuesday.

Just saw the Kodiac Grizzly Bear Slippers. When I got them, they were around 15k in the mp. Now over 120k. eek

I'm sure things will calm down after Christmas, but I find it amazing that the "Let It Snow" item is selling for 300K+ in the Market now.

I never have that kind of luck. But on the other hand, I don't buy rigs. razz But I'm still happy with the Grizzlys.

I'm almost tempted to sell mine and then buy it back after Christmas xd It's crazy how holiday items inflate sometimes. In fact, the market is due for a crash soon. Everything's way inflated right now, so more than likely in Feb/March.
