Regardless of the artwork being Edward...it really is well done. Its beautiful. I had to fav it. I do notice myself faving Twilight fanart on deviant. That is because I don't view the art as "OH MAI GAWD TWILIGHT EWWY!" If its a lovely well done picture then it deserves it.

Also take this artist.

She does a lot of Twilight, but the quality of her work is outstanding.

Reason I'm posting this is to see if anyone else shares my pov on Twilight fanart.

In the end its how beautiful a piece of art is, not what it's of.

I really like the style used in that image. You're right, art is art. I don't judge an artist based on what they draw unless I utterly have too. though might I add that I personally think it looks nothing like Edward. Or at least how he is portrayed by the films.

I agree with your stance but I myself do not like the fanart depicted. The hair is much too round, and almost makes him look like a lightbulb. And the eyes could use a little more brown highlight to give them that edge of darkness- they're almost too yellow.

Other than that, it's- okay. Not exactly something I'd favorite...

Actually the artist hates Twilight. It's in the description. They're doing that as to mock the book. Pretty much they drew Edward if he was a real vampire. XD

Huh. So they're... anti?

But still, the head doesn't look right. It has a nice style but it doesn't look like much effort was put into its being accurate.
