I had an idea! I didn't ask Laroka about it, because I figured she'd just ask you guys about it anyways ;D So here's the idea!
I thought it would be cool if there were some shops that would give us a guild discount. For example: if I said that when a Good Deed Doer comes to my banner shop and states that they are from this guild, I will give them a 10% discount. Or perhaps I would give them a 500g discount.
This would help us by getting things for cheaper, and it would help the shop owners by bringing in business.
If you would like this, then please vote in the poll. When Laroka and the crew decide there's enough votes for yes, then I will create a thread in which I would post all of the information on the shops and provide links to them on the first page. This thread would be locked.
If you would want to provide a discount for your services, PM me with a request and the link to your shop and I will keep it in my records and add it when the thread is created!

I think it would be a good idea to give discount's to guild members but i don't have a shop lol so i can't give discounts at all but i would if i could.
Oh yea and my sister wants to know if she can call you candy bar for some odd reason lol

That's a good idea. And to make things more fun, perhaps we'll consider making some "GGDD" cards to recognize extra good and generous guildees and give them double discount. Meaning if each of our shop (our own rule to how much we'll give discount) give a certain amount of discount for normal guildees, we'll give the ones with the special cards of our guild with double the discount. Ex. If I were to have a shop with a 10% discount for normal guildees, I'll give 20% discount for those with cards. Perhaps that'll increase the rate number of guildees to be more active and generous.
Just a suggestion.

This sounds like a good idea, but there would be very difficult to monitor unless it took place in the guild...
Are we going to set up a mini-shop forum or ask people to list items they are currently selling in our guild exchange?

{It is a very loverly idea. A word of caution to you though, perhaps making a list of the members that are in the guild posted in your shop would make it easier for the shop owner to give the discounts out. I know there are good people out there, but it helps if one is careful.}

I think what would work best would be if there were just a notice of 'benefits of being in GGDD' that tells about this in the guild, and shop owners could put a small notice that says 'this shop lets you use the GGDD discount' or something of the like in their shops. You can always check the members list to see if the person seriously joined the guild or not.
The post count could prove useful, though the member ID number isn't actually much help; it's just the actual Gaia ID of the person. neutral
