For a while now I have been attempting to teach my sister Japanese(she lacks motivation and determination). So far I've managed to teach her 'Samui'(Cold), Atsui(Hot), Urusai(Shut up), Arigato(Thank you), and Doitashimashite(You are welcome). The question I have is regaurding Doitashimashite. Since it is too long and complicated for her I told her it is okay to say it "Doita" I'm actually not sure if that is good. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.

I doubt anyone would understand you. The short, casual, non-formal way to say "dou itashimashite" is to simply say "iie", as in, "don't mention it" or "it was nothing."

Hexus Emeraldus Coda Highland I doubt anyone would understand you. That's also true; those would also carry an appropriate connotation. There's a slight difference in the nuance here; "iie" is somewhat more modest.

there are tons of other slang things you can also say but i'm not talkin' about words, im talking about endings to verbs like in these sentances 'watashi wa inu ja nai yo, neko no da yo !' you can shorten it to: 'watashi wa inu jan, nekondayo!' or in stead of 'nani wo shite iru desu ka?' it can be 'nanishiteruno?' mrgreen
