I gotta say - Soul Eater is one of my favorite animes.

Maka Albarn and her weapon partner Soul Eater are students at the Death Weapon Meister Academy. The school has many other students including Black Star with his weapon partner Tsubaki, and Death the Kid with his twin weapon partners Liz and Patti. The school is run by Shinigami, Death himself, as a training facility for weapons and the human wielders of those weapons, the meisters. Maka's goal, along with the other meisters, is to have their weapons defeat and absorb the souls of ninety-nine evil humans and one witch, which will dramatically increase the power of the given weapon and thus be capable of being used by shinigami; these weapons are called Death Scythes.
There's more to the plot than that, but that's just the basic context of the story.
I like the animation as much as the series. The fluid action scenes are splendid! I would recommend this anime to anybody in love with awesome fantasy battles. 3nodding
My favorite characters is Soul and Death the Kid. Kid is probably has the quirkiest character trait of any cartoon character I've watched, as he has this obsession with 'symmetry' of anyone or anything's appearance.
