Sorn walked through the door once Mal opened. He smiled when he said, "beauty first." Something about those words made his heart flutter with excitement. Then the questions about his family came and that made him go a little quiet. He didn't know exactly what to tell him or if he should. It wasn't unusual for men to be mistreated, so surely nothing bad would happen because he opened his mouth.
" Well I have three sisters. They've always treated me horribly. Its nothing new really and its not unusual for our species. They would rather me do all the work instead of a slave they don't trust. I'm honestly scared that they're going to show up and ruin all that you're doing for me."

Mal'rak could barely stand it anymore..he rather wanted to forgo the dinner and take Sorn back to his room and have his way with him. Though..he realized that would probably just scare the innocent beautiful young man more than he wanted. Damnit..he was going to have to try and take this slow. Dinner first..and of course his client. Dang it..he had almost forgot that. He muttered under his breath, composed himself a bit and then followed Sorn into the building.
One look at Sorn's face and he could tell that the other was excited and a bit afraid that his family would perhaps show up and screw things up for him. Mal'rak couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed at what Sorn was telling him. What made the females think that they could treat the males so rotten? Seriously..they wouldn't be able to produce offspring without them..and males tended to die off sooner than the females..and that was mostly due to the females games. Society would be much better off if the wanton wily females weren't in charge. Of course Mal'rak wasn't going to voice this..that would bring more problems than he really wanted at the moment.
"Well..I doubt they will show up here. And if they do, don't even worry about it. We'll make our escape out of the back, with them non the wiser." Mal'rak replied with a wink at Sorn.
The inside of the restaurant was quite a sight, the fabrics that hung around each table were expensive silks, slightly see through but gave a sense of anonymity that Mal'rak rather liked especially since he had brought a potential lover to the place. Now that he was tailing a mark, it rather annoyed him. He was rather pleased to see that his mark had left his curtains slightly open and that there was an empty table next to his. Mal'rak waved over the host and requested the table next to the mark, the host didn't seem to think much about the request and escorted them over to it and left the two of them to the privacy of their curtained table.
"So then..what are your tastes Sorn?" Mal'rak asked, opening a menu and letting his gaze flicker briefly over the selections. "Would you care for some wine?"

Sorn's eyes wandered around the restaurant. It was very beautiful. The wall was a silver color with white trimming. The fabric on the curtains were a light blue with silver lining and white statues were lined in front of the walls, giving the restaurant a classical feel. His train of thought was interrupted when Mal mentioned "escape".
That made him slightly uneasy. " If they see me leave with you, I'm in trouble and you might be too." The thought of him getting Mal in trouble brought him back to reality again. Of course the other drow waved it off and looked at the menu. Sorn picked up his as well. The restaurant had quite a variety. It was so hard to choose. Mal asked if he wanted wine. " Yes, I would love wine, red wine to be exact." He hid his face behind the menu since this was so new to him. Mal was so handsome he didn't think he was worthy of his attention.

Mal'rak watched Sorn's expression as he gazed around the restaurant and could tell that it was probably the first time Sorn had ever been treated to to a gourmet meal in such a place. That was something Mal wanted to change. He couldn't help but feel like splurging a bit and treating Sorn to luxuries he might never have even thought one could experience.
Mal's musings disappeared when he saw the near frantic look in Sorn's eyes at the mention of escaping out the back. "Sorn, please don't stress yourself or panic; all will be well. I'm not going to let them hurt you. And you shouldn't worry about me, I have things up my sleeves that are dangerous to any manner of magic or sorcery a drow could unleash on me." Mal'rak replied with an almost haughty expression on his face, as he placed a gentle hand over Sorn's left hand and squeezed it reassuringly.
"Ah, you like the red wine? Red it shall be then," Mal replied satisfied that Sorn was finally relaxing a bit. Mal raised a hand to summon a waiter and almost immediately one was there to take their order. "Bring us a full bodied Red wine please, and the artichoke brazed roth with a side of tubers and mushrooms. Oh and, some of that garlic infused bread that you're so famous for."
Once the waiter had taken the order and had hurried off, Mal'rak leaned back casually in his chair and let his gaze sweep towards his mark casually. Good..it appeared the man was going to be there for awhile, he was still giving his order. Apparently the male had a very hearty appetite, he might just be able to pull of his job and even manage to sweep Sorn off his feet and into a bed if all went well. Though..for some reason Mal'rak was hesitant to jump straight into sleeping with the beautiful male that sat across the table from it.
Sorn apparently had a lot going on in his House, females who did all kinds of things to put him down, not to mention being so paranoid he had almost jolted at the idea of being caught with Mal. Still..there were the upsides of starting a relationship with someone, he might finally be able to settle down in one town and have someone to spend time with when he wasn't working. Though..it might take a lot of wooing and flirting, possibly even promises to get Sorn into thinking of a future with him.
Mal frowned slightly at the thought, who the heck wouldn't want to be with him? he was after all quite the catch. At least, so he had been told by multiple people. though..those relationships had never lasted longer than a couple of months at the most. Perhaps Mal just wasn't the type for settling down?
"So then," Mal said abruptly breaking the uneasy silence. "What do you want to do this evening besides dinner? I have a little matter to complete and then we can go and do pretty much anything that you have the incline to do."

Mal's words had calmed Sorn down a bit. He figured the best he could do was trust Mal after he treated him to such a fine evening. " Is there a theatre around here, I haven't been to a play in forever, not since I was a child. If it not too much to ask since you said you had something important to take care of."
The waiter came back with the food and wine. Sorn's stomach growled as the waiter lifted the covers off the plates, causing the smell to make its way to his nose. That was when he realized he hadn't eaten all day. It would be easy to take care of himself if his sisters and mother weren't so demanding.

Mal'rak flashed a happy grin at Sorn, he had finally managed to get the other male from thinking anything dire and he was rather pleased at his accomplishment. Mal reached across the table and took Sorn's hand in his own. He ran his fingers over the few scars he found on the other's hand and replied with a flutter of his eyelashes.
"Oh there's a theater a few block up the north side of downtown, if I remember right..they should be open pretty late. I think we will have plenty of time to wine, dine, allow me to deal with my small matter, and then go to the play. Though..I'd just as soon skip the theater and do something a bit more intimate with you, Sorn."
Mal'rak withdrew his hand when the waiter came back with the trays of food, knowing that his companion was rather hungry and he didn't want to keep him from eating. He pulled out his napkin, shook it out and draped it over his lap before he picked up his fork, pulled a piece of steaming juicy meat off the plate and held it in front of Sorn's luscious lips.
"Try some, It's truly delectable," Mal purred demurely when he heard the unmistakable sound of Sorn's stomach protesting from lack of food.
