As Senji moved onward with what was left of his plan, mid-jump he noticed four sets of dorsal fins peek from the sand. As he came down and jumped again this time, four small animated sands seemingly created from sand jumped at him, gnashing the rows of makeshift fangs they had. At first he attempted to alter his movement to become serpentine to avoid them, however it was clear that they were as if not faster than he was. What also became clear however, was that they didn't seem to have the intention of actually attacking him. This instantly bothered him as he began to scan the area quickly. Once more the Kazekage had gone out of view, and he suspected the man was under him once more. Based on the tactic seen last, Senji gathered he'd more than likely use the same method to try and quite literally stop him in his tracks.

At this point however, Senji had grown quite tired of the chase. It was clear to him by this time that the youthful man wasn't necessarily taking things seriously. If he was, the sharks would've done what Senji was afraid of and latched onto his limbs already to stop him altogether. No, he was being played with, like a cat bats at a small insect he has no intention of actually eating. "Tsk" was all that escaped his lips as he prepared an attack for the man that at that moment burst from the sand below not eight yards in front of him. "I'm not letting this man capture me without putting everything I have into this. Either this effort gets me out of here, or at least it makes a damn good impression. Not gonna like though, I'd rather the former. Well, here it goes." Rearing his right arm back as he closed the only good fist he had, Senji let out a battle cry of an incantation. Truly a last ditch effort on his part, it was all or nothing for him at this moment, and he'd rather go out having proved some worth as a shinobi instead of a mediocre katon user who was also a bad thief.

Chakra began to spiral from his fist down to his forearm, turning from the amber hue his signature held to quickly igniting with reds, yellows, and brighter oranges. He was grateful the technique required no hand seals, however the cost was high. Of katon users, it was not unusual for a chuunin to hold off on learning the technique, or likewise a sensei teaching it because of the repercussions. Few and far between were the chuunin that could accomplish it, however Senji with the surprising strength he possessed for his age and frame, was one of them. Swinging forward as he lunged at the man with seemingly no fear of the animated sand sharks that followed cried out, "Ka-sei-ken!" The elongated word coupled with the extension of the last syllable at impact echoed through the barren desert as his arm rocketed forward towards the man's chest. It had been made clear from when he had emerged earlier that the burning clone explosion didn't even make a scratch on him, and ditto for the balls of fire he shot at him. His aim was not to kill the man, despite the technique itself being capable of just that. Still, there were worse sentences for killing a kage than attempting to steal water, and he did not want to find out what those were. He sought to maim him if his technique could even touch the man whose calm demeanor denoted it may very well not be able to. His aim straight for the sternum, he struck with ferocity.

As flames erupted outward towards his opponent, they obscured his view as they struck something. This of course was one of the smaller inconveniences of the technique. The larger one however, was felt almost instantly after impact. The ball joint in his forearm snapped milliseconds after impact, forcing his arm to go limp. In battle there may have been time to pop it into place for quite minimal use of the arm in question, however in this instance there would be no chance to do this. If this man were on his feet from the attack, Senji would have utterly no choice but to concede. It was the stronges ninjutsu in his arsenal, one reserved for the way he had used it, the last straw of an encounter. One might wonder why an espionage specialist such as himself bothered with such a technique, however he thought it was obvious. It was a quick way to dispatch of an opponent if he were forced into the open, albeit at a cost. As he gritted his teeth as adrenaline covered for a majority of the pain, his mind raced. Only time would tell now what the outcome was for him.

Items/Jutsu/Benefits Used:
Kaseiken (Flame Fist)
Description: Kaiseken, essentially, is an attack that causes an intense explosion by transferring all heat from the user’s hand into the object it makes contact with. From the outside, it looks like the flame enveloping the user’s hand is also enveloping the object in question and it is the force of the punch that causes the explosion. If this were the case, this technique would clearly be much more taijutsu-oriented than ninjutsu. But it’s not so simple, really. There are obvious drawbacks to this transfer of chakra-gone-flame, such as being so close to explosion itself. Although the technique is easily able to destroy massive boulders and cliff sides upon contact, the danger presents itself in the rubble and shock to the arm from such devastation. Because of this, the technique can only be used twice a day for even the most gifted jounin. If used any more, the bones of the user’s arm will shatter from internal pressures caused by the technique.
