Honest to god, s**t like this happens in EVERY SINGLE PUG. The entire run the 77 paladin was boasting about how he could do 1.3k dps. He was being a ******** and not attacking the tank's target the whole time. The 73 rogue was also out dpsing the 80 paaldin who was doing like 800 dps in a tanking spec wearing tanking AND spellpower gear.

The pug I did before that was reg OK. I think that one was worse. the 71 DK tank kept running all over the ******** place and pulling s**t when I wasn't there. One time we just got back from a nasty wipe. I buffed everyone, the shaman goes afk and he ******** pulls 2 groups when I have 30% mana. The group fell apart after the third boss when he decided to pull the next group while I was on the opposite side of the platform deciding if I wanted the cape that dropped or not and while the shaman was still catching up to us and the warrior was afk. gonk

I have to say at least 50% of my pugs don't finish. I'm not a bad player, I swear. I just find every ******** moron on the server.

I kind of like pugging because I get to play with different people (and have met some good people that way) but pugs do tend to be notoriously bad.

Actually pugs on Alliance side Lothar aren't bad (heck we even pugged an almost-Tribute to Insanity ToGC10, 49 attempts). Horde side however.. ummm....

I normally start pugs. If people fail, I boot them and invite others until I get someone who is good.

I PUGed the ******** out of heroics and even raids on my rogue not too long ago. <_< Sure there were some idiots, but for the most part things went smoothly usually.

Maybe it's your server?

All of my gear came from doing a lot of PuGging biggrin
Now I can do 3.2k. Craptastic DPS but better than before (1.9k)

Can't wait for cross realm PuG :p

PuGing is the only way i can run 5mans and get gear. i do meet stupid people but usually everyone will just leave and regroup if he/she is the leader and we really want to finish or kick the person. just wait til the new LFG system, any one can kick people if you get the other 3 to agree to it.

For some reason I always get stuck in groups with crazy healers. Often times the PUGs I'll join are ones started by a guild mate, and I'll volunteer as third dps or something.

There was that time in Occulus where the Paladin believed himself to be invincible enough to not need a drake against Eregos. The fight started, he immediately pulled aggro (maybe some mechanic of players pulling more threat than drakes?) and got a face full of flame... After the third wipe we finally convinced him to mount up and we finished the fight within three minutes. xp

Another time I joined some guild mates for an Onyxia-10 run, where a brand new level 80 Resto Druid joined us. He was in almost all greens and blues and kept getting tail swiped because he thought it was safe to hang out with the Hunter pets. rolleyes

My friend made a video of that encounter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=disx3TaVPg0

The few times I decide to run an instance, I usually group up with friends, who then invite their friends, and so on, until the group is full of nice people.

I know it can't always be like that, and some people ruin the fun for everyone, maybe on purpose, who knows? Since I'm usually the healer, I just don't heal them when they can't act properly. When they die, they either behave or leave, or else they are gonna die again, and again...

Some grp asked for a healer about 3 weeks ago, and I joined them with my off specc, since my main is Shadow Priest, but I can heal some heroics too. Then I rolled on some caster bracers with hit rating, and won over the Warlock, who then started bitching about me not needing hit rating at all. The tank then also started, thinking I should give the bracers to the lock, 'cus we loot main specc only. I told them that shadow was my main specc, and then they kicked me with the comment "go dps elsewhere". I mean, WTF? The lock lost a fair need roll, get over it. I don't join a grp when I'm not allowed to roll on the stuff I need XD

Eh, in their defense, I would have had people roll on the spec they're there with. I would've given the bracers to the lock myself.

How were they to know your main spec was shadow? If you told them at the start, and made your intentions clear that you'd be rolling on gear for that, then it's their own fault. Otherwise, yeah, I'd side with them. (The "Go dps elsewhere" comment was dumb though, considering you obviously weren't, but that was just them being upset.)

I did tell them I was there in off specc, and they didn't say anything about me having to only roll on the specc I'm there with, so I don't really see their problem. If they had told me, I either would not had rolled, or left in the first place, since rules are rules. But bitching at me afterwards was probably easier ^^'

Personally, I don't like to PUG, but I will if there's a chance I can upgrade my gear. But when the time comes when the good gear DOES pop up by chance, it's always given away to the better friend, not who rolls and not who needs it the most.
Also, the shatbags don't ever know how to properly do their job right. If it were MY guild that was in the run and not a PUG group, people would listen and do their jobs RIGHT and on TIME. Wouldn't get as many repair bills, that's for sure.. >_>'
That's why I don't pug often.
