Jūbantai-Taicho   Eriko looked back at him and tried ever so hard to pay more attention to the words that were coming out of his mouth. Do what makes her happy. If she did that, he might not have the breath to answer her right now but the Taicho nodded at him. Then, there was that smile again only to be interrupted by the presentation of another, yet smaller, decision. He made an excellent point but she had been hoping for the Gobantai Training Grounds.
"Why don't we use both, sir? We can start here and just continue in the Jubantai Grounds. I wouldn't mind it." She returned his facial expression easily while continuing, "It would make me happy and I will try to keep your advice in mind." Her voice had dropped slowly to a mere whisper as Eriko closed whatever space there was between her and Lee just as carefully before reaching up on her toes, cutting away the height difference, to kiss him in almost the same manner as he had her. For balance purposes, her left hand pressed on the table for support but her right did not have time to reach his respective shoulder as the girl lowered herself back to the ground. A coy smile flashed across her features and the Jubantai Taicho moved away from the man. "I'll pass by after Tsukiko, okay? I don't want to put off my training any longer with the whole trip to the Exaequare dimension so soon and all. Later, Masashi-Taicho." Eriko smiled at him in a somewhat wicked way now but it did not last and the young girl closed the door, forcing her mind to focus on the task at hand: convincing Tsukiko to help her.

Lee continued to gaze into Eriko's eyes as she continued to stand there waiting for her decision on which training grounds to use. Hearing her decision Lee gave her a small nod though he couldn't help but give a slight chuckle at her use of sir. "Not only am I no longer your superior but wow what a way to make a guy feel old." Closing his eyes in slight amusement at her next statement about it making her happy and keeping his advice in mind. "Very well then that is exactly what we shall do." Hearing Eriko's footsteps coming closer Lee opened his eyes just in time to see her in front of him on her toes raising an eyebrow in response. Her hand resting on the table behind him was noticed moments before she leaned in and planted a duplicate kiss on his lips. It was just as sweet as the first one he had given her and sadly just as short as Eriko leaned back down to her own height with a coy smile on her face. Ah so she was off to see Tsukiko? And would be by afterwards? "Naturally. See you when you return Eriko-taicho."
A thought struck him that made him slightly unsure of something. Would Eriko be going with them even though She just became a Taicho and as of yet didn't have Bankai? Well they would cross that bridge when they came to it. Obviously a most of Lee wanted her to remain here though a small part wanted her to go. Well time would certainly tell. 'I like her she is a good choice Lee-kun.' An amused look came over his face once again as Lee walked to the doorway stopping before leaving. 'Naturally Namihime did you really expect me to pick someone that was a bad choice?' A pleasant laugh echoed in his head from his spirit as he stayed in the doorway. 'No of course not Lee-kun I was simply voicing my approval. So where are we off to?' Putting a hand on his chin Lee let out a small sigh. 'I don't know to be honest. I suppose I could go ahead and head to the training grounds. Maybe get a little stretching and stuff done.' Hearing no reply from his spirit Lee assumed she agreed so after a moment he left the office and went straight for his training grounds.

Lee exited shunpo inside his office taking a look around with a slight sigh carrying a basin full of water with a towel over his shoulder and set the basin on his desk. Using the basin to wash his face off as well as part of his upper body he dried off with the towel figuring it would be good enough until he could take a proper shower later. Picking the basin up and setting it on a small table beside the windowsill he placed the towel beside it. Walking into the closet he grabbed a change for his uniform and promptly changed. Next grabbing a fresh haori he slid it on himself and stood there in silence for a few moments. It might be awhile before peace and quiet such as this could be enjoyed with Tomomi still missing. Grabbing his zanpakuto in it's saya he walked over and placed it gently in it's place at the front of his desk taking a seat behind it.
Letting out a quiet sigh Lee leaned back and closed his eyes relaxing since with the fact he still had to talk to both Suzume and Eriko it might be awhile before he could properly rest and sleep. Fatigue had long since set in but through sheer will he stayed awake not really having the energy to do so. The shunpo he had used to leave had taken most of his remaining reiryoku and the rest would be used for conversing with both Eriko and Suzume before he finally went to sleep. Lee wasn't sure how long it would take however so until Suzume arrived he would simply sit here and relax in complete silence and deep in thought.

Suzume entered a little late, having lost her way several times. That was one of the problems about being new, it took a few days to orientate oneself. It took several Shinigami’s instructions and a vague sense of where everything was, to finally get to where she had been intending to go. Hopefully, she’d be able to find her way after this, as she was intending to firstly make sure that everything was in order in her own quarters and then maybe, find Nanashi. He had said some strange things and some form of worry was entering her mind. Then again, he would most likely be well, since her sister had healed him. Ah, her sister. She had to insert some time to catch up into her mental list of reminders. Sheesh, she was going to have one busy day. It was better than having to fight against an opponent such as that Arrancar, but still just as hectic. She came to a sudden halt, noticing that her Captain seemed to be in pretty deep thought. While he had specifically requested for her to see him, maybe it didn’t mean right this second. Hovering half-way through the door and torn between whether disturbing him or merely letting him be, she hesitantly said, “Taichō, if this is a bad time…we can always talk later.” Even to her own ears, she sounded lame, but that was the best way of asking whether or not he was really busy at the moment.

Lee continued to sit there in silence and thought eyes closed as Suzume appeared in the doorway asking if it was a bad time. Yes it was quite frankly but better now than later and he could deal with it. He had asked her here after all. "Have a seat Fukutaicho now is exactly what I meant. Unless you have other things to do? If that is the case we can make this somewhat quick then finish in detail later." Opened his right eye to gaze at Suzume as he waited for an answer. While normally he wouldn't have made the talk an option now he was still feeling pretty worn out and had to talk to Eriko about them. Who knows how much such a talk would take out of him all things considered. If all went well with her then perhaps it wouldn't take a lot out of him. However if things went south then he could end up both physically and emotionally exhausted. Which wasn't fun at all. Figuring they at least needed to have a little bit of a talk.
"I think you know most of what I will expect from you while you are under my command. If not you can ask Nu-taicho or Eriko-taicho I am sure she will know all things considered. They were my former Lieutenants after all. I was a little disappointed you seem to have gotten caught so early apparently considering your current state. You will have to be more mindful of your surroundings while in battle from now on. We can work on that if you like. I also believe you will need your Bankai something I am willing to help you with starting as soon as tomorrow if you like." Pausing for a moment Lee opened both his eyes completely instead of just his right eye. "There are too many other things I could say but I think I will cut my little speech short here. Is there anything specifically you would like to ask me? Or do you just want to cut it short here for the moment?" Falling silent after the question Lee was curious if she would just cut it short here and leave. It was obvious after gazing at Suzume that she had other things on her mind and likely other places to go.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI really don’t like F I G H T I N G ✿✿✿ Suzume wavered slightly, even though he had spoken and told her that he was meaning to talk to her now. Some part of her knew that this was not going to be an easy talk and she’d have to bite her tongue to make sure that she didn’t contradict him. They barely knew each other, but to say the very least, it hadn’t reflected very well on her when she had been seen basically in full health, but unfortunately captured. Then again, she could somehow blame it on Kyo who was-- Nah. That was a silly thought. She could have at least held out for a little longer or somehow managed to escape. Kicking herself for doing something as stupid as that, she merely stood there, holding the words back and listening to her Taichō. As she had expected, he did talk about being disappointed in here. When he had finally fallen silent, she remained quiet too, attempting to keep a civil tongue. It was a short while before she actually managed to moisten her mouth and speak, saying, “I understand. For the meantime, I do not have anything specific I have to ask you, but yes, if you would ever have any time to be able to spare, I would like to start learning my Bankai and train my Shikai. Unfortunately, those are my greatest two weaknesses.” She didn’t say anymore, either waiting for him to ask her other things or simply dismiss her. This was one of the most awkward situations she had managed to get herself into, but she promised herself that she would change this all. Soon, soon, if she worked hard enough, she’d be able to be a Lieutenant that her Captain would be proud of. Until then, she would just have to throw herself into perfecting her abilities.

Lee noticed Suzume seemed to be holding back on responding likely because of him mentioning her getting caught early. It was a sad thing but not too bad all things considered after all if she had been free the result would have been the same anyway. Even Yuki couldn't kill Zenos completely or at least she couldn't quite yet considering she held back on giving the death blow. Lee likely would have did the same considering who would think he could survive having his brain chopped in half. That was truly an amazing and somewhat frightening thing. When Suzume finally did speak up Lee listened to her noticed she really didn't have anything more to ask him just yet. "Okay if that is all you have to say then I suppose you are free to go. We can talk more in detail tomorrow after I have rested." Closing his eyes and letting out a small sigh Lee stood up from his seat figuring she was about to leave and that he should be doing the same himself. Still he would wait for her to leave first or say something else.

Maybe she should look a little more dignified, since looking that happy was not something that could improve her current situation. Hurriedly replacing her happy face with a serious and intent expression, she attempted to look a little bit more like her rank. Dropping a quick bow (since she absolutely detested the idea of curtsying, she respectfully nodded at him, replying, “Well, until tomorrow then.” She walked as slowly and stately as she could, exiting and closing the door on the way out. For a few seconds, she slumped against the wall, her breathing slightly irregular as she cursed herself over and over again for the bad first impression she had managed to give to her own Captain. Seriously, if that was what he thought of her now, there was a high chance that it would be much worse later. Gathering herself together, she hurried on her way to the Fourth Division. If her sister was busy, she wouldn’t bother her for too long, but right now, it was deciding between Eli and Nanashi, and she was putting off the latter for later.

Lee watched Suzume leave after saying goodbye noticing she stayed behind outside for a moment or two with his spiritual sense. Once they got to talk in more detail about what happened lee would likely tell her she either had to care less, or be more aware of her surroundings. Maybe even both if she was willing though that wasn't likely. She at least needed to hide how much she cared as best she could. Sighing as he took a seat again taking a short rest as he thought up the ways the talk with Eriko could go. She could feel the same way and they could enter into a relationship, she could feel the same way but not want to get in a relationship right now, or she could just not feel that way at all. Who really knew, certainly not Lee. What to expect was something he usually had an idea of but he honestly didn't know what to expect right now. Oh well. Standing up Lee brushed the creases in his uniform straight, then made sure to take his rings off and put them inside his desk along with his usual scarf. Sighing as he closed the desk he walked to the door and stepped outside closing it behind him. Taking a short look around Lee began walking to Eriko's quarters not having the energy for a round trip using shunpo. Not to mention he could use a walk around Seireitei to help clear his head before hand.
