Rong seemed to be moving in an arbitrary path around the pumpkins, passed some, around other, pausing here and there. They were supposed to be finding one to carve up he thought to himself. He wasn't allowed to have the big one so perhaps one a size or two smaller? He wasn't sure about the whole carving thing but he supposed it could be interesting to observe. One would think being as big as Ryhdderch was that he would want a giant pumpkin to work on.

He paused as he noticed a shadow other then his own, starred at it, then slowly turned to look at the one that had come to follow him. It was strange, that Rei was following him now when he'd given up on trying to get him to understand. He starred for a long moment before turning and walked along again, pausing at a pumpkin he found himself rather liking. It looked rather uniform in a manner most of the others of its kind didn't, the color was bright, and it seemed to be the best among them. He walked over to sit beside it as though claiming it as his own by guarding it from others.

As he took his seat in a cross legged fashion next to the pumpkin he found himself starring at Rei once more, unblinking.

There was the slightest jump from Rong as though he weren't expecting at all to get smacked by the other boy who had, until this point, seemed rather timid. He blinked once and starred up at him, seeming to relax ever so slightly when instead of hitting him again the hand just remained where it landed, resting on his head. His dark eyes widened a bit more before they sank slowly closed. This wasn't so bad he thought to himself, rather enjoying having Rei's hand on him as it soothed him somehow, made him feel relaxed. This must mean that the horned one wasn't going to run away again? Surely he wouldn't have followed if he were only meaning to hit him and run.

This was... good, perhaps he was forgiven for that flower incident? As for the trying to drag Rei off away from the adults so that they could 'talk' that was another thing. Slowly he lifted up the hand that was minus the eye and laid it on top of the one on his head, it was light and seemed to be there only to keep Rei's hand from moving, to keep the other boy from moving away. He let his head bow forward slightly under the slight weight of the hands, a gesture that was one that meant a lot. Bowing down to someone seemed like something Rong had never done before and probably would never do again.

At the sound of the giggle Rong lifted his head up quickly, starring at his friend for a long moment, eyes getting a bit wide. It was quite startling to hear that sound come from him, thus far Rei hadn't made much in the way of noise and when he did they hadn't been happy sounds. Rong tilted his head to the side, and his eyes seemed to get a bit wider as that eye on Rei's forehead that he'd at first thought was broken suddenly slid open and it to starred at him. He blinked a couple times and then, for the first time ever, a cry of surprise came from Rong as Rei collapsed.

The dark haired boy moved quickly, reaching out to catch the other though he seemed to misunderstand his strength as Rei's weight brought them both down. If nothing else though at least Rei had something softer then the ground the land on. He starred down at the horned boy who was laying on him and slowly moved on hand to pet him, as though hoping it would help revive him.

At the sound of Rong's cry, something that had Ryhdderch rather worried since he'd never heard the boy's voice before this moment, the minotaur turned from Liam to start in the direction of the boys, worried about what might have happened between them now.

Rong's form seemed to relax a little bit and his features went from a startled, worried look to return to his usual, somewhat blank expression. That was... strange he thought to himself. He'd never seen anyone collapse like that before, it made him wonder if perhaps Rei was somehow ill or weak? He looked down at him when he heard him mumble then continued to pet him as it seemed to be working, just as his father had done with the animals back home when they got upset. It seemed to work both ways though as petting Rei both revived the horned boy and soothed Rong.

He lifted his hand so that he could gaze up at Ryhdderch when he appeared so that his normal eyes could remain on Rei, as though he were expecting something else odd to happen. When it didn't he almost smiled, almost, not quite. There was the faintest twitch of his lips but that was about it. Another failed attempt at an expression and nothing more, it would seem emotions were something that Rong was fumbling at.

"Rong? Are you alright? And your friend?" Ryhdderch asked, his gaze meeting that of the slitted yellow eye that was located in his son's palm before he slowly lowered himself down so his massive form knelt down beside them.

Ryhdderch gave a bit of a smile as the boy seemed to be fine, here was a smallest hint of some sort of emotion behind Rong's eyes as his friend was taken away from him before the bull wrapped an arm around him and pushed back up to his full height with Rong's diminutive form in his grasp, "It might be for the best, he does look as though he could use some rest." He agreed, shifting his own charge in his arms and let the boy crawl up to his normal perch on his shoulder.

When he was comfortably back on the shoulder of the massive minotaur Rong returned to quietly watching his friend. He seemed well he thought to himself, just... tired for some reason that he couldn't fathom. He really did seem like a weak child which made Rong feel something toward him he didn't quite understand. Sympathy? Pity? Worry? He had no idea, emotions were something that he didn't quite understand. He'd ask his guardian about it but that was another thing lost on him, that ability others had to voice thoughts out loud. He lifted a hand up to tap a finger to his lips in a thoughtful manner before his mind began to once more wander.

"I think this one might need a nap as well, he seems a little more spacey then normal." It was hard to figure out Rong's moods but he really thought that he was getting better at it as time passed.

The minotaur gave a nod to Liam before looking up at Rong, "Let us grab our pumpkin so that we can be on our way, Rong." He told the boy, giving a wave before they started on their way to find a pumpkin that would serve their purposes before they headed out. There was much for them to do with this item so getting the biggest one that could be carried was what Ryhdderch decided to do, hefting one of them up into his arms, paid for it, and the pair were soon heading off on the trail that would take them home.

Rong gave the pumpkin a minimal at best glance before he tilted his head back and returned to cloud watching, his mind already having wandered as it always did when he was up high. The higher up in the air he could get the better as he always felt as though he belonged up in the sky instead of on the ground. A strange thought for one that lacked wings but it was what he felt none the less.

They weren't to far along on their walk before he was dozing off, his head resting against that of his guardian.
