Gloria handed up her luggage following Alice and also needed a little helping hand up onto the ship from the captain. She gave him a smile and commented softly, "I love the name of your ship!"
She shook out her umbrella and folded it up, also heading to find a life jacket in her size. Gloria grumbled slightly on her realization that she would need a slightly large size.
The elderly woman laughed to herself, "Hopefully I'll trim up a little on this trip!"

Jerry grinned, nodding to Daniel and following after the ladies, hefting his bags up on the ship as well. He was after Gloria in getting a life jacket and needed a rather large one as well.
"Maybe." he agreed with her pleasantly, "but if you don't, it's no worry. Being a larger size is nothing to be upset over." The man was being honest there, he had never seen anything particularly wrong with someone - particularly a woman - being a bit larger provided it didn't impede most daily functions.

Jackie followed shortly after the other three passengers, grinning merrily at nobody in particular as she tossed her luggage into the boat. She scrambled in after her bags, and paused for a moment before locating the previously mentioned green box.
After a moment of searching, she found a life jacket that fit to her liking, and dutifully strapped it on. "Besides," she said, abruptly joining in on the conversation, "You remind me of my Grandma." The fact that this could have been taken as an insult didn't occur to Jackie; she loved her Grandma, and didn't see how comparing someone to her could possibly be anything other than a compliment.

Daniel noted this group seemed to be bonding already, he wondered if they were all generally more sociable than the last or if Gloria, whom he''d thanked for his comment on the yachts name, simply brought out the caring in them. How this would help or hinder them during the workshop the man was unsure but surely it would mean something if nothing more than a sightly more pleasant stay.
Once everyone was on board and the Jazzy tune was no longer moored Daniel turned to face his passengers, the dark skinned man smiling faintly, already the drizzle was letting off a bit.
" Alright ladies and gentlemen we'll be leaving the dock in just a few moments, you're free to roam about the tune and socialize amongst yourselves, you're all adults and I trust you can behave yourselves." Given the varying ages of this group he had a feeling he shouldn't have too many issues to deal with.
"If you fall overboard, don't panic, stay still and wait for us to circle back for you. If someone else falls overboard someone will alert me, I will circle around and fish them out." Heroics on anyone part by diving in after the overboard person just meant more people to pull back in later. He knew this first hand having actually done it himself in his younger years.
" Any questions before we leave?"

Gloria smiled at the pair speaking to her as she snapped the fastenings on her life vest.
"Well I am A grandmom, dear. A grandmother of three in fact! So I suppose it's alright for you to be reminded of your own. You can adopt me as yours on the trip if you'd like."
Gloria patted her life vest securely and removed her BluBlockers, placing them in her massively over-sized purse as Daniel gave them instructions. She looked out at the sea and enjoyed the breeze that the rainstorm was kicking up. She had no real questions and no worries at all in the world. It didn't even occur to her that she should!
"This is all so exciting!" It was more to herself than anyone in particular but she wouldn't be adverse to conversing with her new companions if the mood struck them.

Alice checked to make sure her life vest was securely fastened. It fit snugly around her body. She glanced around at the other passengers as she listened to Daniel's instructions. Her gaze warily lingered on the rail around the yacht and the ocean beyond it. She had never been on a boat of any kind before, and while she liked swimming, she didn't relish the idea of falling overboard. She scooted closer to the center of the yacht, deciding to keep away from the rail.
"How long does the ride to the island usually take?" Alice asked curiously as she turned her attention to Daniel.

Jerry laughed quietly at Gloria's comment. "You're closer to my mother's age rather than my gran's, personally." he muttered before Daniel started talking. The man nodded politely and took his seat nearer to the edge so his companions wouldn't have to be squished in together if they were trying to avoid falling off. He personally was quite fond of boats and liked the idea of a pleasant ride.
He stretched a bit, reaching into his duffle to pull out a book he had been reading prior to leaving the hotel.

"Really? That... That'd be great! Thanks!" Jackie responded enthusiastically, her day suddenly becoming even brighter. She was glad that she had already been able to make a friend in this new place. Really, Gloria was probably also closer to her own parents in age as well, but it was more her personality which reminded her of her grandmother. Her parents, while kindly and caring, were extremely different from her grandma, lacking something which Jackie couldn't quite name.
She listened to Daniel with mild interest, and then promptly forgot most of what he had said as she swiftly took a seat right next to the railing, and stared down into the clear water. She amused herself for a bit by watching the ripples that the dwindling raindrops made as they hit the surface of the water.

Ahh just one question, Daniel could work with that, he;d gotten it last trip too though. Maybe he should start off telling people that when he greeted them from now on or during the life jacket speech. " About three hours" he informed the young woman " Give or take depending on the weather."
"Unless anyone else needs something of me right now I'm headingto the cabin to get us going, you may wish to go below decks to get out of the light drizzle we're currently having.."

Three hours wouldn't be so bad. She could handle three hours on the yacht. She hoped. She didn't have much to judge her capabilities on, but she didn't think there was anything to worry about. The rain wasn't too bad at the moment. The earlier storm seemed to have cleared almost completely away.
Alice glanced around at her companions on the trip. "Anyone care to join me down below?" she asked, putting on a friendly smile. The rain didn't bother her much, but it would be more relaxing to get out of the rain. Plus she hated getting her books wet, if she decided to read during the three hours.

"Oh yes." Gloria clutched her handbag and slowly moved to the doorway to get in out of the drizzle.
"This rain is terrible on my hair. And I hate wearing these hats." She gave Alice a smile and moved down to the interior of the yacht. She only had limited experience in boats so she hoped that being inside wouldn't make her sea sick or anything.
Gloria found a cushioned seat and set down her heavy bag. She removed her wide brimmed hat to reveal her massive beehive of white hair. Very daintily she patted it and adjusted the pins to make sure it was all in place. Once she finished with her hair she was ready and willing for conversation and more thorough introductions.
