Hitachi nodded in agreement and walked a bit faster to keep up his pace with Keshet. Knowing it would probably be easier to just stop the lady here on the street, he cupped his hands around his mouth, took a deep breath and called out to her.
"Oi, wait!"
Waddling with the pots, Lily started to the shop door. She nearly jumped when she heard a voice call out to her. She wobbled a bit on her feet, spinning towards the direction of the voice and peered out from behind the pots at the two anthro males.
"Oh!" She squeaked. "I'm sorry, did you need something?"

Keshet winced when Hitachi yelled. He hoped the flower lady didn't drop any of those plants when she jumped. "Yes we do. We're....er he wants to buy a flower or two." He called back still hurrying. It didn't take long to get to where the lady was. He looked up at the flower shop building taking in all of the flowers and potted plants in the window.

She nodded as she listened to Keshet and nodded her head in direction of the shop.
"Oh really? You both are very lucky..." She turned and started off towards the shop again. Kicking open the door easily, she wobbled in and called over her shoulder at the two males. "I was just about to close up for the day and head home but you're welcome to have a look around." Setting down the pots on the small wood table by near the front counter, she rushed back to the front door and held it open. Smiling at them, she waved for them to follow. "Come in, come in and have a look around."
Hitachi was beaming when he finally made it to the front of the shop. They had made it in time and Gov'nah would get the flower to, hopefully, cheer her up. When Lily waved them in, Hitachi nodded and glanced at Keshet.
"Does gov'nah 'ave a flower she fancies?" He asked.

Keshet walked into the shop, still looking around. "I guess we are really lucky. Thanks for staying open for us." He said looking at Hitachi, "Uh... she likes anything with blue.... I think she likes lilies and daffodils. The one she really likes you can't really get. You'd have to buy her a tree. She loves cherry blossoms."

Lily pulled out a rag and began to clean off the counter as she listened to the two anthros conversing. At the mention of cherry blossoms, she laughed.
"Unfortunately I don't have any Cherry Blossom saplings in stock at the moment." She went back to cleaning her counter and started to hum to herself. "Oh, and be mindful of the Venus Flytraps! They're a little big this year..."
Looking at Lily, Hitachi nodded.
"Cherry blossoms are out...Maybe next time eh?" He started to wonder around the shop, looking over the different potted plants. Lilies.... daffodils... lilies....
He reached over and plucked a few bright wild flowers from their stems and began to twist and tie them together; making a small crown. He placed it carefully on his head and shuffled over to a rack of hats when he noticed a large, floppy sun hat and picked it up. "We should get Gov'nah a 'at!"

Keshet nodded. He figured Cherry Blossoms were out. Hearing the warning he looked at the Venus Flytraps and made sure that he wasn't near them. They were HUGE! He glanced around, not really paying attention to Hitachi. He didn't think that there were any other flowers Blue really liked. He looked at Hitachi and grinned. "She would love that. Probably more than a flower. She loves hats."

Glancing at the hat in his hands and then back at Keshet, Hitachi smirked in return and tossed the hat towards him.
"I can just see Gov'nah now; strutting around all posh with that 'at." He ran his claws through his blue hair and shook his head. "Heh, 'ope it cheers the ol' girl up. All that squawking's not good for 'er." He reached for another hat; one with a red ribbon around it and one with a green ribbon. "So which one: with a ribbon or without?"
Caught up in her cleaning, she had almost forgotten that she had two customers still in the store. It wasn't until she was finished clearing the counter of most of the dirt that gathered there during the day and looked up did she see a sun hat sailing through the air from one another to the other. She tilted her head curiously and wondered exactly what they were doing. Glancing at her cat clock in the corner, the sound of it meowing told her it was starting to get late.
"Have you found what you're looking for?" She asked.

Keshet caught the hat and looked at it. It certainly was something she would wear. She found the oddest of hats and absolutely loved them. "I think one without a ribbon would be good." He looked at Lily and nodded. "I think he has. Sorry for making you stay open even longer."

With a nod, Hitachi turned to the rack and began to search for a hat without a ribbon. If he had the time, he was certain he would be returning to this shop to mess around with the hats and drive the poor human running it crazy. He smirked at the thought. Oh yes, he would enjoy toying with her. Finally finding what he was looking for, he whirled around and held it triumphantly in the air and struck a goofy pose. Plopping the hat on his head, he joined Keshet again and he pulled it off and set it onto the anthro's head.
"Ha... don't you look spiffy? Now you need rain boots and pink garden gloves." Shaking his head, turned to Lily and nodded. "Yea' we're ready."
She shook her head and laughed.
"It's alright, it's alright. I don't mind it at all. Especially if it is a gift for someone." Grabbing a bag, she paused and glanced at them both. "If this is a gift, would you like a box for the hat? I would hate to see it get messy."

Keshet returned the hat in his paws back to the rack and was returning to the counter when Hitachi struck a pose. He snickered and shook his head. Then a hat was placed on his head and he laughed. "Apparently you've never seen me out trying to garden at the cabin. I do wear garden gloves but they're blue not pink... and I don't have rain boots. You can buy me some another time." He said with a grin, "I think a box would make it more present like."

Laughing, he took the hat off Keshet's head and placed it on the counter for the shopkeeper. The sooner they paid for it, the faster they could return. And perhaps it was rude that they were holding this poor lady up from closing up for the day.
"Oi, you be payin' for your own boots." He crossed his arms stubbornly and tried not to laugh at the image of Keshet working in the garden like an old woman with a huge sunhat. Of course he was failing miserably at it. "Unless yah birthday is comin' up. Well then, I wan' a bit cake an' balloons yeah..."
Strangely, Hitachi had been enjoying their banter all day and while he enjoyed this time together, it would soon be ending when they returned with Gov'nah's hat...
While the two were talking, she reached under the counter and pulled a large white box that would fit the hat. When Hitachi put it down on the counter, she rang it up and plopped it into the box and replaced the lid.
"That'll be $12. What color ribbon would you like?" She asked politely, tilting her head as she addressed the two.

Keshet placed a paw over his heart. "Oh you wound me. Making me buy my own boots." He said with a smile, "And no my birthday isn't until April." Hearing the lady he turned to her. "A blue ribbon would be nice. After Blue loves that color." He said. He then remembered the lollipop in his one paw and took a lick. He was lucky the Venus Flytraps didn't steal it.

((Omg a venus flytrap with a lollipop would be adorable. I should have done that to Squishy while he was alive XP))
"Of course you 'ave to buy 'em." He laughed as he shook his head.. "I'm not tha' nice."
Hitachi tossed some money on the counter. It was enough to cover the cost and he sighed. He was starting to run low on cash now and he was definitely going to have to bribe some off of his human the next time he saw her. But he couldn't be too mad about being low on money. Now they could go back and hopefully this would cheer Gov'nah right up. It was all for a good cause.
"I'm excited. You think she'll like it?" He asked as he turned to leave the store.
Nodding at Keshet, Lily turned to the rack of ribbons behind her and studied them carefully. It had to be the perfect ribbon if this was going to be a gift. She was always particular about these sorts of things. She finally settled on a navy blue and tied a large bow around the box. Satisfied with her work, she held it out to the rainbow male. "Here, I hope she enjoys that and if you need anything else in the future, don't be afraid to stop by. I hope you both have a wonderful day--" She glanced outside and noticed that she couldn't exactly wish them a nice day. It was nearly past sun down. "Well... um... have a nice night then!" She said, quickly correcting herself.
