More of a 'f*****t' band if you ask me. Or most outside of this guild for that matter.

Earlier FOB was Emo. It brought into the Pop scene, as they start to mature and release new material it kind of loses the punk feel and becomes more of poppy folk songs. Take This To Your Grave was a huge moment for emo music. They're not doing the same thing now, but they're still a great band

Depends? With the original FOB? They have gone through many different members. The original FOB didn't even have Andy Hurley, their current percussionist, in it. They have lost two members. They lost their original drummer, and they used to have three guitarist, one of which left, meaning Patrick Stump picked up guitar. The first album was recorded, then Andy joined the band. Take this to your grave, their second album, was the first album with fall out boy as it is known today. Though its recent albums are not considered emo, the bass guitarist, Pete Wentz, is often considered emo, and it has been featured in the Alternate (I want to say Lifestyle or Music) Magazine many times. It is still considered alt/rock by iTunes.
Sorry if I know a lot. It's my best friend's favorite band, so...

Dark_Sasuke00 some people say they are, some say theyre not, some say "i dont care" what do you guys think?? I find this quite funny, because you just made an FOB joke without even realizing it. Personally, I don't think it matters, and just maybe FOB doesn't care. I mean, their song, "I Don't Care", says this: "I don't care just-a what you think, as long as it's about me..."Publicity is publicity, and their fame level will fluctuate as with any band. (Also, I think Wentz is emo but the rest aren't. And they're more punk/alternative than emo)
